What the UC-CAM120ULB-1 does in a meeting room

The iiyama UC-CAM120ULB-1 is an all-in-one conference bar that combines a 12-megapixel camera, a six-array microphone system and an 8W speakerphone in a single unit. It suits meeting rooms where remote colleagues need to see and hear everyone clearly, from small huddle spaces to medium boardrooms.

Camera coverage, resolution and framing

The camera has a native 4K UHD resolution and outputs 2160p, 1440p or 1080p at 30fps. Its 120-degree diagonal field of view captures a standard conference table, its chairs and a person standing at a whiteboard. Focus is fixed at a 2 m focus distance, so seating should keep most participants close to that distance from the lens.

AutoFraming uses face detection and voice localisation to follow whoever is speaking, move between presenters and adjust the framing to the number of people in view. The camera also tracks a speaker who moves around the room.

Presets, zoom and remote control

Three camera position presets can be stored. Point the camera at the view you want, save it, and recall it with one button on the remote control. The same remote handles 5x digital zoom in and out. Presets are useful for a fixed seating plan that is used every week.

Audio pickup and processing

Six microphone arrays pick up voices up to 8 m away. Processing includes an adaptive echo canceller, noise reduction, automatic gain control and dereverberation, which reduces the room reflections that make speech hard to follow. The built-in 8W speaker is designed for speakerphone use in meeting rooms, and the unit has a single audio in/out connection.

Connecting to your conferencing platform

The camera connects through a USB Type-C port with the included USB 2.0 cable (Type-A to Type-C) and is ready to use as soon as it is plugged in. It works with Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams and other conferencing software, so your organisation can keep its existing platform. Select the iiyama device in the camera and microphone settings before the first call.

Where it fits in Qatar

Executive office in West Bay: a boardroom where Doha staff and colleagues abroad join the same call, with the privacy cover used for sensitive sessions.
Private school in Al Wakrah: a staff meeting room for leadership meetings and remote parent consultations.
Government department in Msheireb: a meeting room that uses saved presets for recurring sessions with regional offices.

Planning the installation

The unit measures 462 x 76 x 93 mm and weighs 1 kg without its box (2.3 kg packed). The package includes a wall mount, an anti-peeping cover, a remote control with batteries and a power adapter. Confirm the mounting position against the seating plan and the cable route to your PC before drilling.

Operating temperature and dust rating are not listed in the product data for this model. Ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to confirm conditions for your room, particularly where summer heat above 45°C or dust could reach the equipment. SmartRooms Qatar offers a free site survey before installation.

Questions about UC-CAM120ULB-1

Which meeting rooms suit the iiyama UC-CAM120ULB-1?

It suits small to medium meeting rooms, huddle spaces and boardrooms where participants sit within a few metres of the lens. The 120-degree diagonal field of view captures a standard table and its chairs, and the 8-metre voice pickup covers a typical room. Teams in Doha, Lusail or Al Sadd running hybrid meetings with colleagues abroad are a good match. For a large lecture hall, ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to review the layout first.

What video resolutions does the camera output?

The camera is a 12-megapixel camera with native 4K UHD resolution and supports 2160p, 1440p and 1080p, each at 30fps. Choose the setting your conferencing platform and network can handle reliably. Higher resolution helps remote participants read faces and whiteboard notes at a distance, while 1080p can be a practical choice on older PCs or slower connections.

How does automatic framing work?

AutoFraming uses face detection and voice localisation. The camera identifies participants, frames them, and moves to whoever is speaking as the discussion passes between people. It can also follow a presenter walking around the room. The framing adjusts to the number of people in view, so a two-person call and a full table are both shown without manual adjustment.

Can I save fixed camera views for regular meetings?

Yes. Three camera position presets can be stored. Point the camera at the view you want, save it, and recall it with one button on the remote control. The remote also controls 5x digital zoom. Presets suit a weekly management meeting in a government office in Msheireb, where the same seats and screen are used each time.

How well does the audio handle echo and background noise?

The six microphone arrays pick up voices up to 8 metres away. Processing includes an adaptive echo canceller, noise reduction, automatic gain control and dereverberation. Together these reduce echo, background noise and room reflections, which helps remote listeners follow the discussion in a meeting room with glass walls or hard surfaces, such as a bank conference room in Doha.

Which conferencing platforms does it work with?

The camera connects by USB Type-C and is ready to use as soon as it is plugged in. It is compatible with Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams and other conferencing software. Use the included USB 2.0 cable (Type-A to Type-C), then select the iiyama device for camera and microphone in your platform settings before the first call.

What connections and accessories are included?

The camera uses a USB Type-C port, and the unit has one audio in/out connection. The box includes a USB 2.0 cable (Type-A to Type-C), a power adapter, a wall mount, an anti-peeping cover and a remote control with batteries. Before installation, confirm that the included cable reaches your PC and plan the route for any additional audio equipment.

Is there a privacy option for sensitive meetings?

Yes. An anti-peeping cover is included, and it is useful when the room hosts confidential discussions such as board sessions, procurement negotiations or HR meetings. Cover the camera when it is not in use, and tell the SmartRooms Qatar team about any policy requirements at the design stage, such as placing the bar so the lens faces the table.

How big is the unit and how much does it weigh?

The product measures 462 x 76 x 93 mm and weighs 1 kg without its box, or 2.3 kg packed. Check that the wall position can carry the weight and that the bar does not block the lens for anyone seated. A free site survey from SmartRooms Qatar can confirm wall construction and mounting height before installation.

Can it handle Qatar's summer heat and dust?

Operating temperature and dust rating are not listed in the product data for this model, so we cannot quote figures for them. Ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to confirm the conditions for your room before installation, especially if the bar sits near a window, a lobby or an entrance exposed to summer heat above 45°C and dust storms.

How do I order and what happens after I ask for a quote?

Send SmartRooms Qatar your room size, seating layout and conferencing platform. A free site survey can be arranged if needed, and a quotation is usually sent within one working day. We accept purchase orders (LPOs), government tenders and payment by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. Request a quote today.
