What the cameras and display connection cover

The Jabra PanaCast 50 VBS is a video bar that houses the camera array, speakers, microphones and onboard computing in one unit that sits above or below a display. Three 13-megapixel cameras form a panoramic array with a 180° horizontal and 54° vertical field of view, so people seated at the far end of a table stay in frame. The cameras output up to 4K and offer up to 6x lossless digital zoom.

Intelligent Zoom, Dynamic Composition and Virtual Director adjust the framing as people speak and move, while Vivid HDR and onboard AI support the image. A single HDMI input lets a laptop share content, and the bar is compatible with touch displays that support up to 4K.

Audio and controls for hybrid meetings

The audio chain uses an 8-microphone beamforming array certified for rooms up to 4.5m x 6m. Automatic speaker detection and noise suppression reduce background sound. Four speakers, two 2-inch woofers and two 3/4-inch tweeters, cover 80Hz to 20kHz, so remote participants hear clearly and people at the back of the room are not left behind.

The PanaCast Control is a 10.1-inch touchscreen tablet with a motion sensor that wakes the system when someone enters. Staff join a scheduled meeting with one touch, share content and end the call from the same screen. The control unit also reports CO2, TVOC, temperature and humidity readings, and the integrated People Count gives anonymous room occupancy data to your platform's device management system.

An Aux-Out port connects an assistive listening transmitter for hearing aid users. The manufacturer notes that audio from inside the room is not streamed and that people outside may be able to listen in, so review this with your IT team before enabling it.

What to plan before ordering

• Measure the room against the 4.5m x 6m microphone certification.
• Confirm a PoE-capable Ethernet port, or use the included PoE Power Injector.
• Choose a mount. The wall mount is in the box; table stand and screen mount (VESA) are sold separately.
• Install inside an air-conditioned room within the 5°C to 35°C operating range, away from direct sun through windows.

The box includes two regional power cables and a 100-240V power supply. Confirm the plug type for Qatar sockets with the SmartRooms Qatar team before installation. Its Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, USB-A and USB-C connections give additional options for laptops and devices.
