Overview
The Jabra PoE Injector Kit 14402-20 is a Power over Ethernet accessory that lets a PoE-capable network device receive power and data over one Ethernet run. The kit includes a PoE power injector, a regional power cord and plug measuring 1 m (3 ft), and a 4.57 m (15 ft) network cable. Launched in September 2023, it suits meeting rooms, lecture spaces and conference rooms in Doha where a camera or endpoint sits away from a power socket. Request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar.
What the Jabra PoE Injector Kit 14402-20 does
This kit is an accessory for installations where a networked device needs both data and power through a single Ethernet run. The PoE injector sits between the network switch and the device, adding power to the cable so the device does not need its own socket beside it. This is useful when a ceiling camera, microphone or conferencing endpoint is mounted where no power outlet is conveniently located.
What is in the box
- PoE Power Injector to add power to the Ethernet link.
- Regional power cord and plug, 1 m (3 ft) long, to feed the injector from a wall socket.
- Network cable, 4.57 m (15 ft), to connect the injector to the device.
Because the three components are supplied together as one kit, a multi-room project can be quoted as a single line item per connection.
Planning power and cable runs in Qatar
Qatar mains supply runs at 240 V and 50 Hz, and the kit ships with a regional power cord and plug. The manufacturer data does not state the injector's input voltage range or plug standard, so confirm compatibility with the SmartRooms Qatar team before installation and check that the supplied plug matches the socket in your room.
The 4.57 m (15 ft) network cable suits short links, such as a comms cabinet mounted near a meeting room wall. If the device sits further from the switch or patch panel, or the cable must route around ceiling trunking, a longer cable will be needed. Place the injector in a ventilated cabinet rather than a sealed, hot space, because summer temperatures in Doha can exceed 45°C.
Where it fits in Qatar
- Office meeting rooms in West Bay: a short run from a comms cabinet to a ceiling-mounted camera where a socket is hard to reach.
- Classroom refits in Education City or Al Sadd: adding a networked device to a room without new wall sockets, once the cable route has been surveyed.
- Hotel conference rooms in Lusail: powering a device mounted on a pillar or wall bracket where running mains cable is impractical.
Ordering the right quantity
Each kit contains one injector and one network cable. As a starting point, plan one kit for each device that needs power over its network cable, then confirm the count against your device requirements during quoting. Government ministries and schools can order through a purchase order (LPO) or a tender, and SmartRooms Qatar delivers to all 8 municipalities of Qatar. Free site surveys are available before you commit to cable routes.
Request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar with your room list and cable distances, and our team will confirm the kit and quantity for your project.

Questions about PoE Injector Kit
What is the Jabra PoE Injector Kit 14402-20 used for?
It adds Power over Ethernet to a network cable so a PoE-capable device can receive power and data over a single Ethernet run. The kit suits installations where a camera, microphone or conferencing endpoint is mounted away from a power outlet. It includes the PoE Power Injector, a regional power cord and plug, and a network cable, so it is supplied ready to connect. Confirm with SmartRooms Qatar that your device supports PoE before ordering.
What is included in the kit?
The kit contains a PoE Power Injector, a regional power cord and plug measuring 1 m (3 ft), and one network cable measuring 4.57 m (15 ft). The manufacturer data lists nothing else, so confirm any additional cables or mounting parts your installation needs when you request a quote. Check the cable length against the distance from your comms cabinet to the device before ordering.
Is the kit suitable for Qatar's 240 V mains?
Qatar mains runs at 240 V and 50 Hz, and the kit includes a regional power cord and plug. The manufacturer data does not state the injector's input voltage range or plug standard, so SmartRooms Qatar will confirm the match before quoting. Do not assume the supplied plug fits your socket until it has been checked against the room's wall outlet.
Can I use it with any network device?
No. The injector only adds power to devices that accept Power over Ethernet. Before ordering, check your device's datasheet for PoE support and the power it requires, then confirm the combination with SmartRooms Qatar. The manufacturer data does not list specific compatible devices, so verify compatibility against the exact model you plan to install.
How long is the network cable, and when is it too short?
The included network cable is 4.57 m (15 ft). It suits short links, such as a comms cabinet beside a meeting room wall. If the device sits further from the switch or patch panel, or the cable must route around ceiling trunking, you will need a longer cable. Survey the route first, which SmartRooms Qatar offers free of charge before installation.
Where should the injector be installed?
Install it in a ventilated cabinet or rack close to the network switch, not inside a sealed, hot enclosure. Qatar summers can push ambient temperatures above 45°C, so avoid sun-exposed ceiling voids and unventilated plant rooms. The data does not give an operating temperature range, so confirm the installation environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team before mounting.
Is this kit suitable for a Doha meeting room refit?
Yes, when a networked device must be powered at a point with no nearby socket. A typical case is a boardroom in West Bay or Msheireb with a ceiling camera above the table. Plan the cable route before ordering and ask for a site survey so the injector location and cable length are confirmed in advance.
How should a school in Al Sadd or Education City plan its quantities?
Plan one kit for each device that needs power over its network cable, then check the count against the data points in each classroom. Schools often work through a purchase order or a government tender. The kit arrives as one set, which keeps quoting simple. SmartRooms Qatar delivers to all 8 municipalities and can issue quotations against an LPO.
Can I order one kit for a multi-room project?
Yes, but each kit serves one connection, so a multi-room project will need several kits. Send your room list and cable distances with the quote request, and the SmartRooms Qatar team will confirm quantities. Quotations are usually issued within one working day. Payment can be made by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order.
When should I choose this kit instead of sourcing parts separately?
Choose the kit when you want a matched injector, power cord and network cable from one supplier, especially for a new installation. If you already have a compatible PoE injector and suitable cabling, you may only need replacement parts. The data does not describe the power budget, so confirm with SmartRooms Qatar whether your existing setup matches before adding this kit.
When was this kit launched, and is it current?
The Jabra PoE Injector Kit 14402-20 was launched on 1 September 2023 and is listed as a current product. Buyers in Qatar can request a quote now. Because it is an accessory, also confirm that the device it will power remains supported before purchase.
Does the kit come with a warranty?
The product is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. The source data does not give the warranty period or terms, so ask SmartRooms Qatar to confirm them alongside your quotation. Keep your purchase order and invoice with your asset records so any future warranty query can be handled quickly.
