Overview
The Nearity Daisy-chain CAT6 Ethernet Cable is a CAT6 network cable in the Nearity Accessories series for video conferencing setups. Its name points to a daisy-chain layout, where network links run from one device to the next. Exact length, connectors and speed are confirmed with you before supply. It suits meeting rooms and boardrooms in Doha that need a tidy cable plan. Request a quote for your project.
What this Nearity cable is for
The Nearity Daisy-chain CAT6 Ethernet Cable is a network cable from the Accessories range. Its model name tells you two things: it is a CAT6 Ethernet cable, and it is intended for daisy-chain connections. In a meeting room, cable choices affect how neatly network-connected equipment is installed and how easily it is maintained later, so planning the routes before installation pays off.
Understanding the daisy-chain layout
A daisy-chain connection passes a network link from one device to the next, rather than running a separate cable from every device back to one central point. This can simplify routing in some rooms, but whether it suits a given setup depends on the equipment you are connecting and how each unit handles pass-through connections. SmartRooms Qatar reviews your device list against this layout before quoting.
Where it fits in Qatar
- University meeting room in Education City: a research team links a conferencing codec and a display while the room is being refitted.
- Government boardroom in Msheireb: facilities staff plan cable routes around the existing ceiling before the room returns to use.
- Hotel conference room in Lusail: an events team needs a tidy, clearly routed cable run that a technician can service between events.
What to plan before you order
Measure each route from the equipment position to the network point, add allowance for bends and vertical drops, and note the connector type your equipment needs. Our product data does not list length or connector options, so SmartRooms Qatar confirms these with you before supply. In summer, when temperatures in Doha can exceed 45 degrees Celsius, avoid routing cable through spaces that are not air-conditioned until the environment has been confirmed. A free site survey can check the route in person before installation.

Questions about Daisy-chain CAT6 Ethernet Cable
What is the Nearity Daisy-chain CAT6 Ethernet Cable used for?
It is a CAT6 Ethernet cable from the Nearity accessories range, intended for connecting network equipment in video conferencing setups. Its name indicates a daisy-chain layout, so it suits rooms where devices are linked one after another. Before ordering, confirm with SmartRooms Qatar that the cable matches the devices you plan to connect.
What does daisy-chain mean for my meeting room?
A daisy-chain layout passes a network link from one device to the next, instead of running a separate cable from every device to a central point. This can simplify routing in some rooms, but the result depends on how each device handles connections that pass through it. Send your device list to SmartRooms Qatar so the team can review whether this arrangement fits.
Is this cable CAT6 rated?
Yes, the model name identifies it as a CAT6 Ethernet cable. CAT6 is a widely used Ethernet cabling standard for structured building networks. Our product data does not list further performance figures for this model, so ask for the written specification to be confirmed with your quotation.
What lengths and connectors are available?
Our product data does not list length options or connector types for this model, so SmartRooms Qatar will confirm them with you before supply. Measure each route from the equipment to the network point, add allowance for bends and vertical drops, and send the figures with your enquiry. A quotation usually follows within one working day.
Will it work with my video conferencing system?
Compatibility depends on your codec, camera, switch and network design, and our product data does not list tested compatibility results for this cable. Send SmartRooms Qatar the make and model of each device in the chain, and the team will confirm the right configuration before you order. This matters most in government offices and universities where equipment is already specified.
How should I plan cable routes in a Doha office?
Start by marking equipment positions on a floor plan and recording where each run enters and leaves the room. Keep cables away from power cabling where possible, and leave the route accessible for future service. SmartRooms Qatar offers a free site survey to check the route in person before installation.
Is it suitable for a boardroom in West Bay?
In a West Bay boardroom, cable runs often pass through a false ceiling or floor box, so the route needs planning alongside the fit-out. This cable suits a short, planned daisy-chain run between connected devices, provided your equipment supports that layout. Send the room plan with your quotation request so the route can be checked.
We are a school in Al Wakrah fitting out several classrooms. Can we order in quantity?
Yes. Schools fitting out several classrooms can request one quotation covering the number of cables and the route length for each room. Purchase orders (LPOs) are accepted, and payment is by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. Send a room list with each route length so the quotation covers every classroom.
Can it be used outdoors or in unconditioned spaces in Qatar?
Our product data does not give an operating temperature range or environmental rating for this cable. With summer temperatures above 45 degrees Celsius and dust storms common in Qatar, do not run it outdoors or through unconditioned spaces until SmartRooms Qatar has confirmed the suitable environment for this model.
How do I request a quote and how long does delivery take?
Send a quote request with your room plan, the number of cables and any known route lengths. A quotation usually follows within one working day. Lead times are estimates based on stock and are confirmed in the quotation. Delivery covers all 8 municipalities of Qatar, and orders can be placed by LPO or through government tenders.
Is the cable covered by a warranty?
Products supplied by SmartRooms Qatar are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Our product data does not list warranty terms for this cable, so ask for them in writing with your quotation before you buy.
