What the Nearity V30S does in a meeting room

The Nearity V30S is a conference camera that brings video, microphones and a speaker into one dark grey unit. Rather than mounting a separate camera, fitting microphones and wiring a speaker, a room can run from a single USB connection to a laptop, mini-PC or room system. That cuts down on cabling and on the number of devices your IT team has to support, which matters when several meeting rooms in the same building need the same setup.

Video, lens and audio facts that matter

The camera uses an 8MP Star-VIS CMOS sensor with a fixed 2.0mm lens at F2.0 and a 120° field of view, in a 16:9 format. Maximum resolution is 4K, and MJPEG output reaches 4K at 30fps or 1080p at 60fps. A 3x digital zoom lets the operator tighten the frame on a presenter or whiteboard. HDR, anti-flicker and auto white balance are supported, which helps when a room mixes daylight and artificial light.

Two MEMS microphones handle sound, with AI noise cancellation, beamforming, echo cancellation and automatic gain control. The source data rates background noise suppression at 18dB and reverberation suppression at RT60 under 1 second. Full-duplex operation means both ends of a call can speak at any time, and the dual speaker is rated at 40/1W.

Where the V30S fits in Qatar

What to plan before you order

• Connection: the camera has a USB-C port and the box includes a 2m USB-C/A cable, so measure the distance from the camera to your host computer or room system first.
• Mounting: it can sit on top of a display, on the included tripod or on a floor stand with a 1/4-inch screw thread. Measure display height and table depth before choosing.
