An all-in-one video bar for mid-sized rooms

The TeamConnect Bar M EU, article 700110, puts a 4K camera, six microphones, four speakers and audio processing into one horizontal unit that measures 750 mm long. It is built for meeting rooms and collaboration spaces where a team sits together and some colleagues join from elsewhere, so one device can replace a separate camera, ceiling microphones and loudspeakers.

Setup begins with a single USB connection for plug-and-play use. The bar can be wall mounted, fixed to a VESA mount, placed on a table or stood freely, so the same unit fits a room with a display on the wall or a room with no wall space to spare.

Audio that follows the people in the room

Integrated beamforming focuses pickup on the person speaking, which helps when presenters walk to a whiteboard or swap places during a session. Built-in DSP adjusts the sound to the room acoustics automatically. The device lists a frequency range of 100 Hz to 14.5 kHz and an audio frequency response of 100 Hz to 18 kHz, with a microphone pickup range of 4.5 m.

Maximum sound pressure level is 84 dB SPL, and dynamic range is 69 dB(A). Where a room is larger than one bar can cover, Dante support allows extension microphones to be added, and a second external USB camera can be connected for another viewpoint.

Camera, framing and platform compatibility

The 4K UHD camera uses ePTZ technology with a 120 degree diagonal and 115 degree horizontal field of view, plus 1.5x digital zoom. AI-driven autoframing and person tiling keep each participant visible, which matters when a room seats some people at the table and others along the walls.

The bar is certified for Microsoft Teams and Zoom, and approved for control through Barco, Crestron, Extron and Q-Sys media control systems. Other platforms are not covered by those certifications, so confirm your meeting platform with the SmartRooms Qatar team before ordering. Remote control runs through Sennheiser DeviceHub, with encrypted control communication and password protection enabled by default.

Planning the installation in Qatar

A typical fit is a mid-sized meeting room in a West Bay or Lusail office, where a team in Doha joins a call with colleagues abroad. In an Education City seminar room, the bar can sit above or below a display for lectures and hybrid tutorials. In a Al Sadd boardroom where meetings switch between Arabic and English, the beamforming and microphone array help pick up speakers at different points around the table.

Heat is the main environmental point. The operating range is 0 °C to 40 °C with 0 to 75 % relative humidity, non-condensing, while Qatar summer temperatures regularly exceed 45 °C. Keep the room air-conditioned and avoid placing the bar in direct sunlight or beside a hot window. The storage range is -25 °C to 70 °C.

Power comes from an 18 V DC supply rated at up to 4 A, with maximum consumption of 72 W, and the power supply unit is included. The bar measures 750 mm long, 71 mm wide and 95 mm high, and weighs 2,500 g.
