A compact all-in-one video bar for small rooms

The TeamConnect Bar S CN is the CN variant of Sennheiser's TeamConnect Bar S series, article 700108. It brings a 4K UHD camera, four microphones, two speakers, built-in DSP and an HDMI 2.0 output into one unit measuring 450 x 71 x 76 mm and weighing 1500 g. It is intended for meeting rooms and collaboration spaces where one device should handle audio, video and connectivity instead of several separate components.

Audio and camera facts that matter in a meeting room

The microphones have a stated pickup range of 4.5 m, which suits a room of roughly six to eight seats with the bar mounted at the front. The frequency range is 100 Hz to 14.5 kHz, with an audio frequency response of 100 Hz to 18 kHz. The built-in DSP adjusts automatically to room acoustics. The camera has a 120° diagonal field of view, autoframing and person tiling to keep participants in frame as they move, and 2x digital zoom that is certified for Microsoft Teams.

Connectivity and integration

Video: one HDMI 2.0 output, plus USB and RJ45 Ethernet connectors.
Networked audio: Dante support for extension microphones or a second external USB camera.
Platforms: certifications approved for Microsoft Teams and Zoom, and for control systems from Barco, Crestron, Extron and Q-Sys.
Pending: certifications for third-party platforms such as Tencent and DingTalk are still pending according to the manufacturer.
Power: PoE+ input (IEEE 802.3at Type 2, 42.5 to 57.0 V DC), maximum consumption of 30 W, with a power supply unit in the box.
Wireless: IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1 with A2DP.

Where it fits in Qatar

In a small meeting room in Msheireb, a consultancy can hold client calls with a single bar on the wall instead of a camera and speaker set on the table. In a seminar room at Education City, a lecturer can run a small hybrid session with a remote speaker. A private school in Al Wakrah equipping staff meeting rooms can standardise on one device type and manage the units remotely through Sennheiser DeviceHub.

What to plan before installation

The operating range is 0 °C to 40 °C at 0 to 75 % relative humidity, non-condensing. Summer temperatures in Qatar can exceed 45 °C, so the bar should sit in an air-conditioned room, away from direct sunlight and window glare. Choose the mounting method early: the kit includes a bracket, drilling template and screws, and VESA, tabletop and freestanding options are also available. Measure the distance from the bar to the furthest seat against the 4.5 m pickup range. The data we hold does not list the input range of the power supply unit, so SmartRooms Qatar will confirm power arrangements for 240 V mains before you order. A free site survey is available before wall mounting.

Questions about TeamConnect Bar S CN

What is the TeamConnect Bar S CN and who is it for?

The TeamConnect Bar S CN (article 700108) is an all-in-one video bar that combines a 4K camera, four microphones, two speakers and an HDMI 2.0 output in one compact unit. It suits small meeting rooms, huddle spaces and collaboration areas in Doha where a single device should handle audio, video and the connection to the meeting platform. Organisations that want a simple installation instead of several separate components will find it a good fit.

Which TeamConnect Bar S variant should I order for Qatar?

Article 700108 is the CN variant. The series also has EU, US, UK, AUS/NZS and KOR versions with their own article numbers. The manufacturer data lists the same features for each, but it does not itemise regional differences in power or certification. Before ordering, ask SmartRooms Qatar to confirm the right variant against your power, platform and compliance requirements, and include article number 700108 in your quote request.

Does it work with Microsoft Teams and Zoom?

Yes. The source data lists certifications approved for Microsoft Teams and Zoom, and the camera's 2x digital zoom is noted as Microsoft Teams certified. The bar connects over USB and HDMI 2.0, so it can provide the camera, microphone and speaker functions for a meeting room computer. Confirm your exact Teams or Zoom room setup with the SmartRooms Qatar team before installation.

Is it compatible with Tencent Meeting or DingTalk?

The manufacturer data lists certifications for third-party platforms such as Tencent and DingTalk as pending. Until those approvals are confirmed, do not assume certified support for those platforms. Approved integrations today include Microsoft Teams and Zoom, plus control systems from Barco, Crestron, Extron and Q-Sys. If a Tencent or DingTalk deployment is central to your project, ask SmartRooms Qatar to check the latest certification status first.

Can it be powered over Ethernet?

The data lists a PoE input of 42.5 to 57.0 V DC under IEEE 802.3at Type 2 (PoE+), with a maximum power consumption of 30 W. A power supply unit is included in the box, so you can choose between PoE+ from a switch and the supplied unit, depending on your network design. Check that your switch port supports PoE+ before installation, and agree the power route with your IT team.

How large a room does the microphone pickup cover?

The stated microphone pickup range is 4.5 m. That suits a small meeting room or huddle room for roughly six to eight people, with the bar mounted at the front. If the table is long or some participants sit far from the bar, measure the distance to the furthest seat and consider Dante extension microphones for better coverage. A site survey from SmartRooms Qatar can confirm placement before mounting.

Can it be installed in a hot room or outdoors in Qatar?

No. The operating temperature range is 0 °C to 40 °C, with 0 to 75 % relative humidity, non-condensing. Summer temperatures in Qatar can exceed 45 °C, so the bar should be installed indoors in an air-conditioned room, away from direct sunlight and window glare. Its storage range is wider, from -25 °C to 70 °C, but that applies to storage, not operation.

What mounting options and space are needed?

The bar can be wall mounted, VESA mounted, placed on a table or used freestanding. The kit includes a mounting bracket with a drilling template, a bracket and storage piece, and screws. The unit measures 450 mm long, 71 mm wide and 76 mm high, and weighs 1500 g. Plan a fixed position at the front of the room, and book a free site survey before drilling, particularly if the wall construction is unusual.

How does it suit a hybrid seminar room at Education City?

In a seminar room at Education City, a lecturer or presenter can run a hybrid session with remote guests. Autoframing and the 115° horizontal field of view keep speakers in frame as they move, while the integrated beamforming microphones follow a presenter moving at the front. Larger lecture spaces may need Dante extension microphones or a second external USB camera, so confirm coverage with a site survey first.

Can a private school in Al Wakrah order several units on one LPO?

Yes. SmartRooms Qatar accepts purchase orders (LPOs) and delivers to all eight municipalities of Qatar, so a school in Al Wakrah can order several units for staff meeting rooms on a single LPO. Each unit comes with a power supply unit, HDMI cable, USB-C 3.1 cable, mounting kit and remote control. Send a quote request that lists the number of rooms and article number 700108 to receive one consolidated quotation.

Can the bar be bought through a government tender?

Yes. SmartRooms Qatar handles government tenders, including those published on Monaqasat, and accepts payment by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. Ministries and public authorities buying one or more units should state article number 700108 and the required quantity in the request. The product is covered by the manufacturer's three-year warranty.

What comes in the box?

The box includes the TC Bar S conferencing microphone unit, a mounting bracket with drilling template, a power supply unit (S050-1A150300M2), a remote control, a bracket and storage piece, a magnetic lens cap, an HDMI cable, screws, two AAA 1.5 V batteries, a USB-C 3.1 cable and a manual. Ask SmartRooms Qatar about any additional cables or accessories your room layout needs.
