The CMKit-121 is a ceiling audio package from Yealink's CMKit line, built for conference rooms that need clear voice pickup and balanced playback without custom wiring. Each kit includes one CM20 ceiling microphone, a pair of CS10 ceiling speakers and one RCH40 E2 network switch, so the microphone, playback and network connection arrive as one matched set.

A single kit covers a standard medium to large room of about 5 m x 8 m. For an extra-large room of about 6 m x 10 m, two packages can be combined to extend coverage. Each package operates as an independent audio unit, so coverage grows by adding a kit rather than redesigning the room.

Microphone pickup: 16 units, 8 zones and measured performance

The CM20 houses 16 omnidirectional microphone units arranged into 8 independent pickup zones. It captures full-duplex audio within a 3 m radius and covers up to 4 m. Its internal EQ is tuned to bring out human voices, which helps remote participants follow speakers seated at the far end of a table.

Playback and built-in processing for video meetings

The CS10 speakers use a sound profile designed for video conferencing, concentrating on mid-range frequencies where speech is clearest. The CM20 has an integrated DSP with AI Dynamic Noise Reduction and AI Reverberation Suppression, which adapt to room conditions to reduce background noise and echo.

Because that DSP is built in, each CM20 connects to compatible Yealink MVC systems without an extra DSP device. This keeps the equipment count in the comms rack lower and simplifies the cabling plan for the room.

Network planning and host compatibility

The RCH40 E2 is a compact meeting room switch with EEE (Energy Efficient Ethernet) disabled. It supports Dante and AES67 protocols for audio transmission. If you connect the kit through a different switch, it must not have EEE and it must support QoS, so check the switch before purchase.

On the host side, the compatibility table lists AVHub, UVC84 and UVC86 for CM20 microphones together with CS10 speakers, and VCM35, VCM36, VCM38 and CPW65 for CS10 speakers. The CS10-Dante version is not compatible with these hosts. Switch expansion is listed at up to 4+4 SkySound devices on AVHub, UVC86 and UVC84, with minimum firmware of 153.433.0.5, 151.433.0.5 and 262.433.0.5 respectively.
