Overview

The Yealink CP700 is a portable Bluetooth and USB speakerphone for personal calls and small meetings of up to four people. It weighs 220 g, offers up to 9 hours of talk time and connects to PCs, tablets and smartphones. Available as a Microsoft Teams edition and a standard edition, it suits staff with mobile desks and managers who move between Doha and Lusail. Request a quote for your team.

What the CP700 is built for

The Yealink CP700 is a compact personal speakerphone for one person, or a small group of up to four, who need clear calls away from a fixed conference room. It sits on a desk or a hotel room table and connects to a laptop, tablet or smartphone by USB or Bluetooth. At 120 mm in diameter and 28 mm high, weighing 220 g, it travels easily in a laptop bag, and a zipper bag is included.

Audio facts that matter on a call

The omnidirectional microphone has a signal-to-noise ratio of +58 dB and a pickup range of 1.5 metres, so a colleague seated across a small table can be heard without raising their voice. Conference-mode microphone response runs from 100 Hz to 8 kHz. The speaker delivers 5 W peak and 3 W RMS, with conference-mode response from 150 Hz to 8 kHz and music-mode response extending to 16 kHz. Wideband audio, Optima HD voice, acoustic echo cancellation and noise suppression work together to keep speech clear.

Connectivity and controls

USB 2.0 plug-and-play connection with a 0.8 m cable.
Bluetooth 4.2 with hands-free v1.7, A2DP v1.2 and AVRCP v1.3 profiles, with a range of up to 30 metres.
Optional BT50 USB Bluetooth dongle (Bluetooth 5.0) for computers without built-in Bluetooth.
Touch buttons for power, Bluetooth, answer, hang up, volume, mute and voice assistant or Teams.

Battery and fleet management

The lithium polymer battery has a capacity of 1,420 mAh and provides up to 9 hours of talk time. Charging takes about 3 hours at 5 V and 500 mA, and the standby time is listed at 230 days, with power saving after 30 minutes. Yealink Connect gives IT teams a way to monitor usage, view device information, run remote diagnostics, apply firmware updates and configure the BT50 dongle for pairing.

Where it fits in Qatar

A consultancy in West Bay might place a CP700 in a small private office where two or three people join a call with a team abroad. A school administration office in Al Sadd could put one on the desk of a head of department who takes calls from parents and suppliers. A hotel or serviced apartment in The Pearl might use one in a meeting corner for visiting managers. In each case the device covers the call without a full room system.

What to plan before you order

Choose the edition that matches your calling platform, as both a Microsoft Teams edition and a standard edition are available. Check that each user's computer has a free USB port or Bluetooth, and decide whether a BT50 dongle is needed. Because the CP700 is a personal device, plan one unit per workstation rather than sharing one across a large room. The manufacturer data we hold does not give an operating temperature range, so confirm the installation environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team before deploying in unconditioned space. Request a quote and we will confirm the editions and quantities for your team.

Questions about CP700

Who is the Yealink CP700 designed for?

The CP700 suits one person or a small group of up to four who need clear calls from a desk rather than a fixed conference room. In Qatar it fits private offices in West Bay or Lusail, consultants who move between sites, and managers who take frequent calls from abroad. Its 220 g body and included zipper bag make it practical for staff who travel between offices across Doha.

Is the CP700 suitable for a boardroom or lecture hall?

No. The CP700 is built for personal and small-group calls, and its microphone pickup range is 1.5 metres. For a boardroom seating ten or more people, or a lecture hall, a ceiling-mounted conference microphone system or a dedicated room solution is more appropriate. Request a quote and SmartRooms Qatar will discuss room-scale options that match your space and the number of participants.

Can the CP700 connect to a computer by USB and Bluetooth?

Yes. It connects to a PC, tablet or smartphone either by USB 2.0 with a 0.8 metre cable or wirelessly by Bluetooth 4.2. The Bluetooth range is up to 30 metres, so a user can move around the office during a call. Use the USB connection when seated at a desk and Bluetooth when you need to move between rooms.

What is the BT50 dongle and do I need it?

The BT50 is an optional USB Bluetooth dongle with Bluetooth 5.0, listed in the package contents as optional. It is useful when a computer has no built-in Bluetooth, because it allows the CP700 to pair wirelessly. Check whether the dongle is included in your quotation before ordering, and count how many computers in your team need it.

How long does the battery last and how long does charging take?

The lithium polymer battery has a capacity of 1,420 mAh and provides up to 9 hours of talk time. Charging takes about 3 hours at 5 V and 500 mA. The listed standby time is 230 days, with power saving after 30 minutes of inactivity. That gives a staff member enough power for a full working day of calls when the unit is charged overnight.

Can an IT team manage CP700 units centrally?

Yes. Yealink Connect is the management tool for Yealink USB devices, allowing administrators to monitor usage, view device information, run remote diagnostics, apply firmware updates and configure the BT50 dongle for pairing. This helps when supporting a group of units spread across several Doha sites, because firmware and diagnostics can be handled without manually checking each device.

What is the difference between the Microsoft Teams edition and the standard CP700?

The manufacturer data lists the same core specifications for the CP700, but the Microsoft Teams edition is listed specifically for Teams users, while the standard edition is listed for general use with PCs, tablets and smartphones. Before ordering, confirm which calling platform your organisation uses and ask SmartRooms Qatar to confirm the correct edition in your quotation.

Will the CP700 work in a hot or dusty site office or outdoor cabin?

The manufacturer data we hold does not state an operating temperature range or dust rating for the CP700, so we cannot confirm its suitability for outdoor or unconditioned spaces. Summer temperatures in Qatar can exceed 45 degrees Celsius, so confirm the conditions of any site cabin in Mesaieed or Ras Laffan before deployment. Ask SmartRooms Qatar to review the environment when you request a quote.

Could a school in Al Wakrah use CP700 units in its administration office?

Yes. A school administration office or counsellors' office could place one unit on each desk that handles calls from parents and suppliers. The 1.5 metre pickup range suits a desk-side call rather than a full classroom. Schools can order several units on a purchase order (LPO), and quotations are usually issued within one working day.

How much desk space does the CP700 need?

The unit measures 120 mm in diameter and 28 mm high and weighs 220 g, so it occupies a small area beside a laptop. Place it near the centre of the table so that everyone in a small group stays within the 1.5 metre pickup range. It fits in a laptop bag or backpack, and the included zipper bag protects it when moving between offices.

Can the CP700 be used to listen to music?

Yes. The CP700 has a music mode with a frequency response from 150 Hz to 16 kHz, and it supports the A2DP v1.2 Bluetooth profile for audio streaming. It is designed mainly for calls, so music is a secondary use. If you need a dedicated listening device for a workspace, mention this when you request a quote so the right model can be recommended.

How do I request a quote for a group of staff in Lusail?

Request a quote with the number of units and the edition you need, and quotations are usually issued within one working day. SmartRooms Qatar delivers to all eight municipalities of Qatar. Payment can be made by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. Each unit is set up by connecting the USB cable or pairing by Bluetooth, and a quick start guide is included in the package.
