What the UVC85-BYOD kit includes

The UVC85-BYOD combines two devices in one package: a UVC85 4K camera that captures the room and a CP50 conference speakerphone that captures and reproduces voices. It is designed for medium and large rooms where a single laptop should handle camera and audio for everyone seated at the table. The package includes a VCR20 remote control with batteries, a wall mount bracket and accessories, a 1.8m HDMI cable, a 2.5m USB cable, a 1.2m dual-head USB-C cable and 7.5m Ethernet cables.

Camera performance for larger rooms

The UVC85 supports video output up to 4K and offers 12x optical zoom plus 3x digital zoom, which the datasheet presents as 36x HD zoom. Its lens covers a 90 degree diagonal field of view, with 80 degrees horizontal and 50 degrees vertical. Pan reaches plus or minus 100 degrees, tilt runs from +30 to -90 degrees, and nine preset positions let a room team return to saved views. Auto-framing detects participants in real time and adjusts the shot, so nobody has to reposition the camera during a meeting. The camera has an 8MP sensor and autofocus.

Microphone and speaker coverage

The CP50 uses an 8-element omnidirectional microphone array with 360 degree pickup and a stated pickup distance of 6m. Its audio processing reduces noise, echo and reverberation, which matters in rooms with glass walls and hard surfaces, and automatic gain control keeps voices at a steady level. Full-duplex operation lets both sides speak at the same time, which suits calls between a Doha office and colleagues abroad. The built-in speaker is a single 4W unit with 6W maximum power and a 100 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response. Bluetooth 5.0 is listed with a 10m range in unobstructed conditions.

Planning the installation

The operating temperature range is 0 to 40°C, with humidity from 10 to 95 percent, non-condensing. Qatar summer temperatures can exceed 45°C, so keep the kit inside air-conditioned rooms, away from direct sun through windows, and confirm the room temperature during the survey. Storage is rated from -30 to 70°C. The power adapter accepts AC 100 to 240V input and outputs DC 48V/0.7A, with average power consumption listed as 15.45W and 7.2W. Extra CPE40 speakerphones can be daisy-chained: the standard adapter supports up to 3 units, and the optional 48V/2A adapter supports up to 7. Working-mode dimensions are 200 x 125 x 151 mm.
