Overview

Panasonic TY-VUK10 is an Auto Display Adjustment Upgrade Kit for Panasonic video walls. Paired with a compatible Nikon camera and the free Video Wall Manager software, it adjusts brightness and colour balance across up to 25 displays in a 5x5 layout. It suits integrators and IT teams in Qatar running control rooms or campus media walls on supported TH-series panels. Request a quote with your panel models.

What the TY-VUK10 adds to a Panasonic video wall

The TY-VUK10 is an upgrade kit for Panasonic video walls built from flush-mounted displays. The free Video Wall Manager software adjusts colour with a supported colour sensor and manages wall settings from a PC. The TY-VUK10 extends that software with camera-based automatic adjustment, so brightness and colour balance can be matched across the whole array rather than panel by panel.

How the automatic adjustment works

A compatible Nikon camera is positioned to cover the full screen area of the wall. Video Wall Manager then calculates a correction value for each display and applies it automatically. Once that pass is complete, you can make further detailed corrections by hand, which helps where one panel needs more attention than the rest.

  • Supported cameras: Nikon D5200, D5300, D5500, D5600 and D7500
  • Up to 25 displays in a 5 x 5 arrangement
  • Compatible TH-series models include TH-86SQ1 and TH-98SQ1

Compatibility to check before ordering

Not every Panasonic display is covered. The target list includes TH-98SQ1, TH-86SQ1, TH-75SQ1, TH-65SQ1, TH-55SQ1 and TH-49SQ1, along with TH-80SF2H and TH-70SF2H and a range of LF, SF, AF, VF and LFV series models. Connection rules also apply: RS232C is not supported on the SQ1H, SQ2H, EQ2 and EF2 series, and LAN is not supported on the LFV9, LFV8, LFV50 and LFV5 series. Send your exact model numbers with your enquiry so we can confirm each panel before you buy.

Where it fits in Qatar

A government operations room in West Bay running a multi-panel wall needs colour that looks consistent from every seat, and the kit gives operators a repeatable setup. At a university media centre in Education City, a lobby or corridor wall can be re-balanced after a panel is moved or replaced. A logistics company near Hamad International Airport running a live dispatch board can use PC-based monitoring to keep settings consistent across its wall.

What to plan for

Prepare a PC running Windows 10 or Windows 11 that meets the listed requirements: a 1 GHz or faster processor, 2 GB of memory on a 32-bit system or 4 GB on a 64-bit system, 16 GB of free disk space, and a LAN port or RS232C serial port. Each PC needs its own licence key. The software does not operate properly under a Guest account, so use a Standard or Administrator account. The colour sensor is optional, and supported models vary by Windows version. Because the camera has to frame the whole wall, a free site survey before installation is worthwhile. The data gives no operating temperature range for this kit, so confirm room conditions with the SmartRooms Qatar team, especially near windows where summer temperatures can exceed 45°C.

Send your panel model numbers, screen count and PC details, and request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar. We usually provide quotations within one working day, and we supply against purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders.

Questions about TY-VUK10

What does the TY-VUK10 add to the free Video Wall Manager software?
The free software adjusts colour with a supported colour sensor and manages wall settings from a PC. The TY-VUK10 adds automatic adjustment of brightness and colour balance using a compatible camera positioned to cover the screen area. The software calculates a correction for each display, and you can then make manual refinements on top of the automatic result.
Which cameras work with the TY-VUK10?
The kit is designed for Nikon D5200, D5300, D5500, D5600 and D7500 cameras, or a successor model. The compatibility list names several Nikon DX lenses, including the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR and the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR. Confirm your lens is on the list and that the camera can cover the full screen area of your wall.
How many displays can one kit handle, and in what layout?
The kit supports up to 25 displays in a 5 x 5 arrangement. In a Doha government operations room with a 4 x 3 wall of twelve panels, the layout sits well within that limit. Set the camera so the whole wall is in frame, then run the automatic adjustment through Video Wall Manager. If your wall would exceed 25 units, discuss the layout with us before ordering.
Which Panasonic models are on the compatibility list?
The target list includes TH-98SQ1, TH-86SQ1, TH-75SQ1, TH-65SQ1, TH-55SQ1 and TH-49SQ1, plus TH-80SF2H and TH-70SF2H. It also covers several LF, SF, AF, VF and LFV series models. Send your exact model number with your enquiry, and we will check it against the manufacturer's list before you order.
Do all listed displays support RS232C and LAN connections?
No. RS232C is not supported on the SQ1H, SQ2H, EQ2 and EF2 series, and LAN is not supported on the LFV9, LFV8, LFV50 and LFV5 series. If your wall uses one of these series, confirm the connection method before ordering, because the software relies on these links to communicate with the displays.
Do I need a colour sensor?
The colour sensor is optional. Supported sensors are Konica Minolta CA-210, CA-310 and CA-410, Datacolor Spyder4, Spyder5 and SpyderX, and X-Rite i1Pro2, depending on the Windows version. On Windows 11 the list is narrower and includes only the Konica Minolta CA-410 and Datacolor SpyderX. Automatic camera adjustment is a separate function that does not depend on the sensor.
What PC specification and Windows versions are required?
The software runs on Windows 11 and Windows 10, including Pro editions, and the listing covers English, Japanese and Chinese language versions. Minimum requirements are a 1 GHz or faster processor, 2 GB of memory for 32-bit or 4 GB for 64-bit systems, and 16 GB of free disk space. The PC also needs a 1024 x 768 display in 16-bit colour, a LAN or RS232C port, and a USB 2.0 port for calibration and automatic adjustment.
Can several control room PCs run the software at the same time?
Yes, but each PC needs its own licence key. The software does not operate properly under a Guest account, so use a Standard or Administrator account. Operation is not guaranteed on home-built computers or in system environments outside the specification, so state the intended PCs when you request a quote. A Doha control room with three operator workstations would need three licence keys.
Does the software have an Arabic interface?
The manufacturer's data lists English, Japanese and Chinese versions of the supported Windows systems and does not mention Arabic. For a Qatari office that works in Arabic and English side by side, confirm the Windows language version and interface options with the SmartRooms Qatar team before buying licences, so the software is installed on a compatible system from the start.
We are replacing one panel in a campus media wall at Education City. Can the TY-VUK10 re-balance it?
The automatic adjustment is designed to work across the set of flush-mounted displays. After a replacement, you can run the camera process again to recalibrate the wall, then fine-tune individual panels manually where needed. Confirm that the replacement panel model appears on the compatibility list first, because support depends on the exact model.
Our wall in West Bay faces large windows. Is the kit suitable for that location?
The kit's data does not give an operating temperature range, so we cannot state one. Ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to confirm the room conditions before installation, including sun exposure, since summer temperatures in Qatar can exceed 45 degrees Celsius. Keep the PC and camera in a temperature-controlled control room, and request a free site survey to plan camera placement.
How can a government entity order this kit?
SmartRooms Qatar supplies this kit against a quotation and accepts purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders, including those published on Monaqasat. Payment can be made by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. Send the panel model numbers along with the tender specification, so the quotation covers the correct licences and accessories for your displays.
