3203L

What the Elo 3203L is and where it fits

The Elo 3203L is a 32-inch interactive display with a 16:9 Full HD panel at 1920 x 1080 and a projected capacitive touch layer that reads up to 40 touch points. It belongs to Elo's IDS 03-Series, designed for public-facing and staff-facing screens that run for long hours. In Qatar it suits shopping mall aisles, bank branch lobbies, hotel check-in counters and clinic reception areas where a compact touch screen has to work every day.

Touch performance and protective glass

The TouchPro PCAP layer is the main reason to specify this model. It rejects palm contact and supports touch-through operation, so the screen can sit behind up to 6 mm of glass or 3 mm of plastic, with up to two touches passing through. Gloves up to 1.4 mm thick are supported. For a kiosk or counter that needs a protective front panel, this matters more than screen size.

Touch and video share a single USB-C connection. Brightness is rated at 500 nits for the LCD panel and 430 nits for the PCAP assembly, with a 3000:1 contrast ratio and 178-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles. An ambient light sensor adjusts the panel colour to the room's lighting.

Connectivity at a glance

• Two HDMI 1.4 inputs and one DisplayPort 1.2 input
• USB-C for touch and video
• Four Elo Edge Connect micro USB 2.0 ports for accessories
• RJ45 for the optional wired OSD remote and a 3.5 mm RS232 port

Computing options: ECMG4 or Android

The 3203L can be fed by an external PC or media player, or it can become an all-in-one touch computer with an Elo ECMG4 computer module, which is listed as a compatible accessory rather than part of the base unit. Weight rises from 11.87 kg to 13.97 kg with the module fitted. For a signage network managed remotely, the Elo Backpack 4 Android compute engine is also listed as compatible, and it runs at up to 1920 x 1080. Settle the computing route before ordering so the mounting hardware and power plan match.

Planning installation in Qatar

The display mounts in landscape, portrait or tabletop orientation. Its VESA 400 x 400 mm pattern suits the wall-mount kit and stand available as Elo accessories, and the unit measures 764.7 x 459.1 x 57.2 mm. Before fixing a 32-inch panel to a column, plaster wall or glass partition, a free site survey by SmartRooms Qatar checks the structure, cable routes and mounting height for seated and standing users.

Heat is the main environmental limit. Operating temperature is 0 to 40 °C in landscape, portrait and tilt up to 15 degrees, and 0 to 35 °C in tabletop mode, with 20 to 80 percent humidity. Qatar summers can pass 45 °C, so position the screen in an air-conditioned space. Do not place it in an unconditioned atrium, a sun-facing lobby or an outdoor enclosure unless the environment is confirmed with the SmartRooms Qatar team first.

The unit accepts 100 to 240 VAC at 50 or 60 Hz through an IEC 60320-C13 inlet, and the box includes a UK-plug cable that suits the BS 1363 sockets used across Qatar. Typical draw is 44 W when on and 1.43 W in sleep, for the monitor and adapter alone.

Warranty and ordering

The 3-year standard warranty includes advance unit replacement. Optional extended service runs to 4 or 5 years, with advance unit replacement or on-site exchange. SmartRooms Qatar supplies to all eight municipalities of Qatar, arranges professional installation and usually returns quotations within one working day. Purchase orders, LPOs and government tenders including Monaqasat are welcome. Send the quantity, room list and mounting location to request your quote.
