Elo 3263L 32-inch Open-Frame Touchscreen Monitor

Overview

The Elo 3263L is a 31.5-inch full HD open-frame touchscreen built for enclosures, kiosks and control panels. Its PCAP glass accepts up to 40 touches, and touch-thru support works through up to 6 mm of glass. At 55 mm deep, it mounts in landscape, portrait or upward-facing orientation. Suited to self-order kiosks, check-in points and industrial controls in Doha, it is sold by quotation from SmartRooms Qatar.

A 31.5-inch open-frame touchscreen for enclosures you design

The Elo 3263L is an open-frame touchscreen, which means the panel is supplied without a stand or outer case so it can be built into a kiosk, counter, cabinet or control panel. It provides a 1920 x 1080 Full HD display in a 16:9 format, and the touch layer is the only interface a user touches. A PC, media player or Android compute unit supplies the content. Its black enclosure and 55 mm depth keep the footprint tight in spaces where a standard monitor would not fit.

The specifications that matter for kiosk and control builds

Touch is projected capacitive (PCAP) with 40 simultaneous touches and palm rejection, and the touchscreen is sealed to both the bezel and the LCD. Typical brightness is 500 nits for the LCD panel and 425 nits with the TouchPro PCAP layer. The 3,000:1 contrast ratio and 178-degree viewing angles suit a counter or wall-mounted display viewed from the side. An ambient light sensor adjusts the panel colour to the room lighting, and the unit wakes automatically.

Touch-thru is the feature that changes how the screen is installed. The touchscreen works through a front layer of glass up to 6 mm thick or plastic up to 3 mm, so the display can sit behind a protective panel in a fully enclosed kiosk. The data specifies up to two touches through that layer.

Where it fits in Qatar

In a shopping mall or hotel lobby in West Bay or Msheireb, a self-order or wayfinding kiosk needs a screen that runs during opening hours and can be housed in joinery that matches the interior. The 3263L is listed for operation up to 24 hours a day, with a typical draw of 44.3 W when on and 0.61 W in sleep.

A clinic or hospital reception in Al Sadd or Al Rayyan might use a check-in point built into a desk, where the screen sits behind a front glass panel. Here the touch-thru specification and the wide viewing angles are the deciding factors.

For an industrial control panel at a site in Mesaieed or Ras Laffan, the screen must be enclosed and kept within its operating range. The data lists 0 to 40 °C for portrait and landscape use and 0 to 35 °C in tabletop mode. Qatar summer temperatures can exceed 45 °C, so the cabinet needs cooling to hold the interior within this range. The data does not list an IP rating, so confirm dust and heat protection with the SmartRooms Qatar team before specifying it.

Questions about 3263L

What is the Elo 3263L built for, and who should buy it?

The Elo 3263L is an open-frame touchscreen, so it is built into a kiosk, counter, cabinet or control panel rather than sold as a standalone monitor. It suits integrators and facilities teams building self-order kiosks, check-in points or industrial controls. A PC, media player or Android compute unit supplies the content, while the 31.5-inch panel provides the display and touch surface.

What is the difference between E343671 and E343872?

Both part numbers share the same 31.5-inch 1920 x 1080 panel, 40-touch PCAP capability and touch-thru support. E343671 is the clear version with an anti-friction surface, while E343872 is the anti-glare version. Choose E343872 where reflections from windows or overhead lighting are a concern at the installation site, and E343671 when you prefer the clear surface.

Can the touchscreen work behind glass or a plastic front panel?

Yes. The touch-thru design works through a front layer of glass up to 6 mm thick or plastic up to 3 mm, which lets you build a fully enclosed kiosk. The data specifies up to two touches through the layer. The touchscreen is sealed to both the bezel and the LCD. No IP rating is listed in the data, so ask SmartRooms Qatar to confirm the protection level for your design before you order.

How does the 3263L cope with Qatar summer heat inside a kiosk?

Qatar summer temperatures can exceed 45 °C, so the screen must sit in a ventilated or air-conditioned enclosure. The data gives an operating range of 0 to 40 °C in portrait or landscape mode and 0 to 35 °C in tabletop mode, with storage from -20 to 60 °C. Plan the enclosure ventilation around these limits and confirm the design with the SmartRooms Qatar team before ordering.

Is it suitable for a self-order kiosk in a West Bay hotel or mall?

Yes, for a self-order kiosk in a hotel lobby, restaurant or mall unit in West Bay, the 3263L offers 40-point touch and a 178-degree viewing angle. It is listed for operation up to 24 hours a day. Its ambient light sensor adjusts the panel colour to the room lighting, and the unit wakes automatically. Build the cabinet with the 40 °C operating limit in mind.

Could a clinic in Al Sadd use it for check-in or wayfinding?

A clinic or hospital reception in Al Sadd or Al Rayyan can use the 3263L in a desk-mounted check-in point or a wayfinding board. The touch-thru layer allows a protective glass front, and the product carries the manufacturer's 3-year warranty. Keep the screen out of direct sunlight from windows, and confirm mounting height during the free site survey that SmartRooms Qatar offers.

Is the 3263L suitable for an industrial control panel at Mesaieed or Ras Laffan?

It can be specified for an industrial control panel if the enclosure protects it from dust and heat, but the data does not list an IP rating or a dust protection standard. The operating range is 0 to 40 °C, and summer temperatures in Mesaieed or Ras Laffan can exceed that, so the cabinet needs cooling. Ask SmartRooms Qatar to confirm the enclosure and operating environment before ordering.

Which video and computer connections does it provide?

The 3263L has two HDCP-capable HDMI 1.4 inputs and one VGA input for video. Touch data travels over a USB 2.0 Type B connection, and an RJ45 port takes the optional OSD remote. The box includes an HDMI 1.4 cable, a VGA cable and a USB cable, so you can connect a PC or media player straight away.

Does it work with the Elo Backpack 4 for Android?

Yes, the Elo Backpack 4 for Android is listed as a compatible accessory for this touchscreen. The Backpack is a compact Android compute unit that mounts inside the kiosk using its built-in VESA mount, so the whole system stays in one enclosure. Check the Backpack's own specifications and mounting requirements against your design, and request a quote for the pairing.

What mounting and space planning does the 3263L need?

The panel measures 747.3 x 452.7 x 55 mm and weighs 10.99 kg unpackaged. It supports a VESA 400 x 200 mm mounting pattern, and the box contains eight flush-mount bracket sets with 48 screws. The optional 32-inch wide flush-mount bracket is part number E312503. Allow room for cable routing and airflow behind the panel, and plan for a two-person lift.

What power does it need, and which cable is supplied?

The input is rated 100-240 VAC at 50/60 Hz through an IEC 60320-C14 connector. The box includes an IEC C13 to UK plug cable, and a UK plug matches the BS 1363 Type G sockets used in Qatar. Typical draw is 44.3 W on, 0.61 W in sleep and 0.20 W off, which keeps standby consumption low for a unit that can run around the clock.

What warranty applies, and how do I request a quote?

The 3263L carries a 3-year manufacturer warranty, and Elo lists 4-year and 5-year extended service options under part numbers E740135 and E740330. Quotations from SmartRooms Qatar are usually issued within one working day, and we accept purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders, including Monaqasat. Send the part number and quantity you need to request a quote.
