What the Elo 5554L delivers
The Elo 5554L is a 55-inch interactive display from the IDS 54-Series, built for public and commercial spaces. Its 54.6-inch diagonal panel runs at 3840 x 2160 resolution in a 16:9 aspect ratio. It is available as three part numbers: E104131 (PCAP with clear, anti-friction glass), E104315 (PCAP with anti-glare glass) and E104520 (infrared with anti-glare glass). Touch, picture and connectivity on site
The PCAP models recognise up to 40 simultaneous touches with palm rejection, while the infrared model handles 20 touches. Touch-through capability supports glass up to 6mm thick or plastic up to 3mm thick, so the panel can sit behind a mirror or inside a counter. The LCD panel is rated at 500 nits, the PCAP version at 430 nits, with an 8 ms response time and 10-bit colour.
Inputs include two HDMI 2.0 ports, a DisplayPort, a USB-C port that carries both video and touch control, four Elo Edge Connect Micro USB 2.0 ports and a 3.5mm headphone output. Two 10 W stereo speakers are built in. An RJ45 port serves the IoT LAN, and a USB-A port is reserved for the Wi-Fi adapter.
