Overview

The iiyama ProLite TW2424AS-W1 is a 23.8-inch Full HD touch panel PC that runs Android 12 directly on the panel, so apps can be installed without a separate computer. It combines an IPS panel rated at 350 cd/m² with touch, 10-point in-cell PCAP touch, 32GB storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2 and LAN. It suits meeting room booking displays, reception and retail information points across Qatar.

A self-contained touch panel for shared spaces

The iiyama ProLite TW2424AS-W1 is a 23.8-inch touch panel PC, which means the display and a full Android 12 computer sit in one housing. A room booking screen, a visitor check-in point or a shop counter display can run its own apps without a media player or PC hidden behind the wall. The unit is rated for 24/7 operation, so information points can stay on through opening hours.

Panel and touch facts that matter

The IPS panel delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution in a 16:9 format, displays 16.7 million colours and holds a 178-degree viewing zone horizontally and vertically. Brightness is 350 cd/m² with touch active, and static contrast is 1,000:1 with touch. An anti-glare coating and 3H glass help in reception areas with overhead lighting, but the panel is not a substitute for controlling direct sun near glazing.

The In-cell PCAP touch layer supports up to ten touch points when the built-in Android system is running, so several people can work on the screen together. External computers are limited to single touch. You can operate the panel with a finger, a latex glove or a capacitive stylus. Anti image retention and flicker-free operation suit screens that show the same layout for long hours.

Android 12 with Google services on the panel

The unit runs Android 12 with Google Mobile Services, powered by a Rockchip RK3399 hexa-core processor, 4GB LPDDR4 memory and 32GB eMMC storage. Connectivity covers Wi-Fi to 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.2 and a wired RJ45 LAN port. Preinstalled tools include a calendar, clock, timer, file manager, Chrome, Gmail and the Play Store, and you can lock applications, schedule restarts and manage on and off times. Auto-rotation switches the display between landscape and portrait.

Where it fits across Qatar

Meeting room booking: a panel beside a boardroom door in a West Bay or Msheireb office, showing the day's schedule and letting staff book free slots on the spot.
Visitor reception: a touch screen at the entrance of a Doha clinic or government service hall for sign-in, wayfinding and information in Arabic and English, provided the chosen apps support both languages.
Retail information points: a counter display in a shop at The Pearl or Al Sadd, where customers browse product details and your team updates content through installed applications.

What to plan before installation

The panel measures 549.5 x 336 x 28 mm and weighs 4.23 kg without its box. Its VESA pattern is 100 x 100 mm, so confirm the bracket and wall structure before ordering. Power comes from an external DC 12 V adapter, and the box includes an AC adapter, a power cable and a cable cover. Typical draw is 19W, with 0.5W in standby and 0.3W in off mode. The source data does not state an operating temperature range, so for a sunlit window or an unconditioned space, confirm the environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team first.

Connectivity uses one HDMI input at 1920 x 1080 and 60Hz, which can take a laptop or media player signal, plus three USB hub ports for peripherals. Plan cable routing before drilling. Free site surveys are available, professional installation can be arranged, and quotations are usually provided within one working day. Schools and government bodies can order by purchase order (LPO) or through government tenders, including Monaqasat.

Questions about TW2424AS-W1

What is the iiyama TW2424AS-W1 and who is it for?

It is a 23.8-inch Full HD touch panel PC with Android 12 built in, so the panel runs its own apps without a separate computer. It suits organisations that need a standalone touch screen for meeting room booking, visitor check-in, retail information or wayfinding in Doha offices, schools and shops. Because the operating system sits on the unit itself, there is no media player to hide behind the wall.

Can it be mounted in portrait orientation for a corridor or wayfinding sign?

Yes. The panel supports landscape, portrait and face-up orientation, and auto-rotation can switch the display when the unit is turned. Portrait suits a tall directory beside a lift in an office block in Lusail or a corridor sign on an Education City campus. Before ordering, confirm the wall bracket and cable route, because the VESA pattern is 100 x 100 mm.

How many touch points does it support, and does it work with gloves?

With the built-in Android 12 system running, the In-cell PCAP touch layer supports 10 touch points, so several people can work on the screen at once. Touch works with fingers, latex gloves and capacitive styluses. If an external computer drives the panel instead, the source data says only single touch is supported.

Is the screen bright enough for a brightly lit lobby in Qatar?

The panel is rated at 350 cd/m² with touch active, and it has an anti-glare coating and 3H glass. That suits indoor lobbies and reception areas with controlled lighting. The source data does not give an operating temperature range or an outdoor rating, so for a position facing a window or glazed atrium, ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to confirm the environment before you request a quote.

What does a meeting room booking setup look like in practice?

The screen is mounted beside a boardroom door in an office tower in West Bay, showing the room schedule so staff can see availability at a glance. You can install a booking application, lock the unit to it, and set restart times from the system settings. The unit is rated for 24/7 operation, so the schedule stays visible throughout the Sunday to Thursday working week.

Will it work as a retail information point in The Pearl or Al Sadd?

Yes. The product suits shop counters and information points where customers browse product details. A 24-inch screen fits a counter or a wall bay, and 350 cd/m² brightness suits shops with controlled lighting. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2 and an RJ45 LAN port let you choose the network that suits the store, and you can install the apps your team needs.

Which inputs and outputs does it have for a laptop or media player?

It has one HDMI input accepting 1920 x 1080 at 60Hz with HDCP support, a mini-jack audio input, a microphone input and a mini-jack audio output. Other ports include one RJ45 LAN port, three USB hub ports (one USB 3.2 Gen 1 at 5Gbit and two USB 2.0), and a USB-C output rated DC 5V 900mA.

How much power does it use, and how is it supplied?

The panel runs from an external DC 12 V power supply, and an AC adapter is included in the box. Typical consumption is 19W, with 0.5W in standby and 0.3W in off mode, which helps facilities teams estimate running costs across several units. Confirm the power supply arrangement and cable route with the team during quotation so the installation matches the site wiring.

What audio does it include, and is it enough for a large room?

The unit has two 5W speakers, a microphone, a mini-jack audio input and a mini-jack audio output. That suits short prompts, notifications and announcements at a reception desk. For a large hall or lecture room, connect an external sound system through the audio output, and discuss the layout with the SmartRooms Qatar team before ordering.

Can schools and government offices buy it through purchase orders or tenders?

Yes. SmartRooms Qatar accepts purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders, including Monaqasat, with payment by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. Quotations are usually provided within one working day. If a school needs several units for classrooms or offices, list the quantity and mounting locations in your request so the quote reflects the full order. Products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

What should I plan before wall-mounting it?

The unit measures 549.5 x 336 x 28 mm and weighs 4.23 kg without its box, and it uses a 100 x 100 mm VESA pattern. Check the wall structure, the bracket, the cable route to the external power adapter and the HDMI source position before drilling. SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys, and professional installation can be arranged when you request a quote.
