QB13R-T

What the QB13R-T is built to do

The Samsung QB13R-T is a compact touch display with a 13-inch Full HD panel at 1,920 x 1,080 resolution. It suits places where a visitor or customer needs to browse information at close range, such as a counter, an information point or a reception desk. Its 10-point capacitive multi-touch accepts several touch inputs at once, and the 8ms response time keeps scrolling and tapping feeling immediate.

Specifications that matter for planning

Brightness, panel finish and connections drive most buying decisions for this model. The panel is rated at 250 cd/m2 typical brightness with a 600:1 contrast ratio, and its non-glare finish helps content stay readable under office and retail lighting. The display provides one HDMI input, two USB ports, an RS232 input, an RJ45 input and built-in Wi-Fi for remote management, plus a stereo mini-jack audio output. The data lists no DisplayPort, no HDBaseT input and no separate video output, so plan your signal source around HDMI.

Where it fits in Qatar

Three realistic setups show where the QB13R-T earns its place. At a bank branch in West Bay, one unit on a teller desk can present services while a customer waits. A private clinic in Al Sadd could use one at reception to show visitor directions and appointment steps. A retail counter in a Lusail shopping centre could run a product catalogue that shoppers browse without staff help. In each case the small footprint and the choice of wall mounting or a standing stand make positioning simple.

Keep the display indoors, in an air-conditioned space, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Qatar summers can climb above 45 °C, while the rated operating range tops out at 40 °C, so a unit beside a sunlit window or glass frontage may run outside its rating. What to plan before ordering

Measure the mounting surface and check the 100 x 100 mm VESA pattern against the bracket you intend to use. At 1.1 kg and 29.8 mm deep, the unit is light, but a public-facing screen still needs secure fixing. Plan a power point for the 240 V, 50 Hz supply and confirm the plug type when you request your quotation. The data lists no external memory slot, so content will be managed through the embedded MagicINFO S player and the Wi-Fi remote management. Knox security adds three layers of protection and lets you restrict network and USB port access to limit unauthorised use. SmartRooms Qatar offers a free site survey, so we can review the counter layout with you before you commit.
