What the 32-inch QM32R-T does on site
The Samsung QM32R-T is a 32-inch capacitive touch display with a Tizen-based media player built into the panel. Content can play without a separate PC or media box, which means one device fewer to buy, mount, power and maintain at every location. It suits indoor spaces where visitors, students or staff tap the screen to find information or open applications.
Panel and touch figures that matter
The panel runs at 1920 x 1080 with a 60Hz refresh rate and an 8ms response time. Typical brightness is 400 cd/m2 without glass and 300 cd/m2 with glass, so the glass version trades some light output for fewer reflections. Contrast is rated at 5000:1 without glass, viewing angles are 178 degrees horizontally and vertically, and colour gamut is 72%. The haze coating on the unglazed panel is specified at 2% and is intended to give a smoother touch surface.
Ports and control for meeting rooms and classrooms
- Video: two HDMI inputs, one DisplayPort input and a video output for passing a signal on.
- Control: RS232 input and output, an IR input and an RJ45 input.
- Peripherals and wireless: two USB ports, built-in WiFi and Bluetooth.
- Audio: a stereo mini-jack output. There is no audio input and no HDBaseT input.
Plan long cable runs around the HDMI and DisplayPort connections before ordering, since HDBaseT is not supported.
Where it fits in Qatar
A private school in Al Wakrah fitting out primary classrooms can use the 32-inch size for lessons, with the touch layer for interaction and the built-in player for timetables. A clinic reception in Al Sadd can show appointment details and directions from the same screen within a footprint of 744.4 x 444.6 x 48.2 mm. A meeting room in a government building in Msheireb or an office in Lusail can use it for presentations and shared notes during calls with teams abroad.
Planning the installation
Plan the wall and the environment before the unit arrives. The set weighs 8.3 kg and ships in an 11.1 kg package, with a VESA pattern of 200 x 200 mm. The operating range is 0 to 40°C at 10 to 80% humidity, non-condensing, so keep the display indoors in air-conditioned rooms away from direct sunlight and windows, because Qatar summers can exceed 45°C. Power input is 100 to 240V at 50/60Hz, consuming 72 W on and 0.5 W in sleep mode. The optional WMN4070SE wall mount and STN-L3240F stand are listed for this model.
Content management and reliability
MagicInfo handles content creation, scheduling and device management from a library of images and videos, and an early warning alert system flags faults before they cause downtime. The IP5X rating helps in dusty areas, and the model supports MagicInfo daisy-chain video wall setups with a bezel of 24.5 mm top and bottom and 21.5 mm on each side. The specification lists EMC Class B, safety standard 60950-1 and energy efficiency class B.
