What the RM5502K is built to do

The BenQ RM5502K is a 55-inch education interactive flat panel from the BenQ Board Master RM02K series. Its VA panel runs at 3840 × 2160 pixels and offers 400 nits typical brightness, a 5000:1 typical contrast ratio, 10-bit colour depth and a 68% NTSC colour gamut. The 8.5 ms response time keeps moving content clear, and the listed operation is 18 hours a day across seven days.

Touch is handled by an infrared layer with 20 touch points and a touch response under 8 ms, so several students can write on the glass at the same time without the board falling behind.

Annotation, cloud files and shared writing

EZWrite 5.0 is the whiteboard software included with the panel. Its floating tool lets a teacher write over any app, video, website or document, and capture all or part of the screen. Two pens let two users write in different colours at once, and handwriting recognition turns written text, numbers and drawings into digital text without switching modes.

EZWrite 5 can also open and save files to cloud services such as Google Drive and Dropbox, so a lesson prepared at home can be opened directly on the panel in class.
