86 inches for rooms where the back row must still read clearly
The BenQ Board Pro RP8604 is the 86-inch model in the RP04 series of interactive displays. Its IPS panel runs at 3840 × 2160 across an active area of 1895.0 × 1066.0 mm. The 65-inch and 75-inch siblings in the series suit smaller rooms, while this size fits a lecture theatre, a long boardroom table or a training hall where the far seats need the same content as the front row.
Panel, touch and eye comfort
The panel is rated at 450 nits typical brightness, 1200:1 typical contrast, 10-bit colour depth and 72% NTSC colour gamut, with anti-glare glass and flicker-free output. Ultra Precision IR touch supports up to 50 touch points with a response time under 2.5 ms, so several people can write at once. The 9H tempered glass carries a nano-ionic silver germ-resistant treatment, and Eyesafe 2.0 certification with an RPF50 rating is listed for long sessions.
Android 15, software and connections
The board runs Android 15 on an octa-core Arm processor with 8 GB memory and 64 GB or 128 GB storage. It carries Google EDLA certification for Google Play and core Google services. EZWrite 6.0 covers whiteboarding, and the Floating Tool lets presenters annotate over any open app.
- Four HDMI 2.0 inputs, one HDMI 2.0 output, DisplayPort 1.2a and VGA
- One OPS slot for a slot-in PC
- A 100 W USB-C port that charges devices and enables touchback
- Two Ethernet ports, RS-232 and optical S/PDIF out
- Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2
Two 20 W speakers, a 16 W subwoofer and an 8-microphone array reaching up to 8 m cover the room for audio.
Where the RP8604 fits in Qatar
- Lecture theatre in Education City: lecturers share from a laptop, a slot-in PC or the board's own apps, and the screen size keeps slides readable across a large hall.
- Boardroom in West Bay: a long executive table needs a screen readable from the far end, and session notes can be saved as an editable file or a PDF.
- Training room in the Industrial Area: safety inductions for a full group, with PDFs and Office files opened directly and handouts exported as PDF.
Climate, power and installation planning
Summer temperatures in Qatar can exceed 45°C, so place the board in an air-conditioned room away from direct sun through unshaded windows. The listed operating range is 0°C to 40°C at 10% to 90% non-condensing humidity. The power input is rated AC 100-240V at 50/60Hz, which covers Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz supply, and typical consumption is 164.4 W.
The panel weighs 64.7 kg and mounts to a VESA 800 × 600 mm pattern with M8 screws, and one wall mount is in the box, so plan for two people and a checked wall. SmartRooms Qatar offers a free site survey before wall mounting, professional installation and delivery across all eight municipalities. Request a quote and tell us your room size, wall type and whether you plan to add a PC in the OPS slot.
