TEY21B-i7

What the TEY21B-i7 adds to a BenQ Board

The BenQ TEY21B-i7 is an OPS slot-in computer. OPS (Open Pluggable Specification) is a standard that places a complete PC inside a compatible interactive display, so the panel can run its own Windows applications without a laptop beside it. This unit carries an Intel 10th Gen Core i7-10210U processor, Intel UHD Graphics, 8 GB of memory and 256 GB of storage, which suits opening files, running a whiteboard app and joining video calls from the panel itself.

Ports, networking and wireless

Rear connectivity covers one HDMI output, a 3.5 mm audio input and output, one USB 3.1 Type-C port, two USB 3.1 ports, one USB 3.0 port and one USB 2.0 port. These suit dongles, external hard drives and audiovisual equipment. Wired networking uses a 1GbE Ethernet port. Wireless is listed as 802.11 a/n/ac on the 5 GHz band and 802.11 b/g/n on 2.4 GHz, and the package includes two Wi-Fi antennas.

Duo OS and the BenQ Launcher in daily use

Connected to a DuoBoard or CS display, the TEY21B-i7 lets Android and Windows run at the same time on one large screen through Duo OS mode. The BenQ Launcher provides a single interface for opening the EZWrite cloud whiteboard, starting video conferences and reaching Windows files and programs. The compatibility list covers touch models such as the CP8601K, RP7502, RP8602, RM8602K and RE8601, and non-touch models such as the CS8601 and ST8602. Confirm your exact display model before ordering.

Where it fits in Qatar

• Boardrooms in West Bay or Msheireb: a leadership team can open a cloud whiteboard and join a call with colleagues abroad from the panel, without a laptop cabled in for every meeting.
• Classrooms in Education City or Al Rayyan: teachers can run Windows teaching software and the EZWrite whiteboard from one screen during a lesson.
• Government and corporate offices in Lusail or the Industrial Area: a project team can run Windows business applications on the display in a shared room, with the Ethernet port available where a wired connection is required.

What to confirm before you order

Three points in the manufacturer data need checking. The overview mentions a Wi-Fi 6 module, but the wireless specification lists 802.11 a/n/ac and b/g/n, so confirm the module fitted. The package list names an Intel i5 OPS computer while this model is the i7, so confirm the processor you will receive. Windows 10 Pro for Business is listed as a trial version, so confirm licensing for long-term use. The data also gives no operating temperature or power rating for the unit, so the SmartRooms Qatar team will check the room conditions before installation, particularly near windows where summer temperatures can exceed 45°C.

Book a free site survey before mounting a large panel and fitting an OPS unit, so the wall structure, cable routing and slot access can be checked on site. Quotations are usually issued within one working day, and purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders, including Monaqasat, are accepted. Request a quote for the TEY21B-i7 with your display model and room details, and the SmartRooms Qatar team will confirm compatibility with your panel.
