What the LUX Mini adds to a compatible Clevertouch panel

The Clevertouch LUX Mini is a compact Android 13 module that fits the OPS slot of a compatible Clevertouch display. Rather than buying a new panel, an organisation with an eligible IMPACT display can add a current operating system, a faster processor and the latest Clevertouch software. The unit measures 180 x 119 x 30 mm and weighs 0.63 kg, so it is a light addition, but the space behind the panel should still be confirmed during planning.

Processing, storage and connectivity

Inside the module are an eight-core processor (A76 x 4 and A55 x 4) with Mali-G610 MC4 graphics, 8GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Video leaves the module through an HDMI Out and a Type-C OUT, both rated up to 4K at 60Hz, and an HDMI IN accepts a source at the same resolution. Two USB 3.0 ports, a gigabit LAN port, audio input and output, and a DC input complete the layout. Wireless connectivity is 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax Wi-Fi 6E with Bluetooth 5.3.

Software that suits lessons and meetings

The LYNX app includes online lesson planning, and the Google Education licence (Google EDLA) keeps Google apps preloaded on the display. Users can sign in to personalised profiles and reach OneDrive, Google Drive and LYNX Cloud from the panel. Work can be saved by scanning a QR code, notes can be added with whiteboard annotation, and email can be sent straight from the touchscreen. The manufacturer lists Clevershare mirroring as free for the lifetime of the screen. Embedded digital signage, room booking, alerts and announcements, and over-the-air updates are also built in, with remote management licensed for one year.

Where it fits in Qatar

What to plan before ordering

Compatibility comes first. The LUX Mini works only with Clevertouch generations that have an OPS slot, and the manufacturer asks buyers to check the serial or model number before purchase. The listed panels are IMPACT Lux, IMPACT MAX 4g and 8g, IMPACT Plus Gen One and Gen Two, and IMPACT Gen One and Gen Two. It is not compatible with third-party interactive products, so a mixed fleet needs each panel model listed separately.

Environment matters too. The operating range is 0°C to 40°C with 10% to 90% relative humidity, and the module is rated to altitudes below 5,000 metres. Qatar summer heat regularly pushes outdoor temperatures above 40°C, so install the display in an air-conditioned, ventilated room rather than a sunlit window area. Power is supplied at 12 to 19V, with 23W typical and 30W maximum draw. The datasheet lists a 12-month return-to-base warranty, and Clevertouch publishes the full terms.
