What the LPH98-MC470-P is built to do

The LPH98-MC470-P combines a large 98-inch display, a built-in Android computer and a conferencing camera and microphone array in one unit. Instead of pairing a screen with a separate PC, camera and speakerphone, a room gets one device that handles presenting, writing, video calls and room audio. It belongs to Dahua's MC470-P Series in the Business Series range, so it is aimed at organisations that run daily meetings rather than occasional presentations.

Display, touch and the Android 14 platform

The panel uses a DLED backlight and renders 3840 × 2160 pixels in a 16:9 format, with a typical brightness of 450 cd/m² and a typical static contrast ratio of 1,200:1. The viewing angle is 178° horizontally and vertically, so people seated at the sides of a long boardroom still read the same slide. Colour coverage is rated at 90% NTSC typical, and the refresh rate is 60 Hz.

Touch is infrared, sitting behind 3.2 mm anti-dazzle tempered glass rated at 9H or harder. The touchscreen supports 32 touch points under Android and 50 under Windows, and it accepts finger input and a magnetically attached pen. Android 14 is the built-in operating system, backed by a quad-core A73 and quad-core A53 processor and 128 GB of storage. A Windows external module running Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 can be used alongside it.

Camera and microphone for hybrid meetings

The camera handles auto-framing, auto white balance, auto flip and face detection, and its digital zoom reaches up to 9x with a horizontal field of view of 87°. The 16-array microphone picks up speech from 8 to 12 metres away, with echo cancellation, automatic gain control and intelligent noise filtering. For a Doha team presenting to colleagues abroad, remote participants can hear people at the far end of the table without anyone leaning toward a speaker. Two 20 W front speakers and one 20 W rear speaker fill the room with audio.

Where it fits in Qatar

• Boardrooms in West Bay or Lusail: one screen for a mid-sized meeting table, with a camera that keeps the active speaker in frame during calls to head offices abroad.
• Lecture rooms at Education City: lecturers write directly on the screen while remote students follow through the camera and microphone array.
• Classrooms in private schools in Al Sadd or Al Rayyan: teaching in Arabic and English side by side, with one panel replacing a projector, board and separate audio set-up.

Planning the wall, power, cooling and connections

At 102 kg net, or 127.8 kg in its packaging, the panel needs a wall that can carry its load. It measures 2,218.3 mm wide, 110.2 mm deep and 1,383.6 mm high, with mounting holes spaced 1,000 mm by 400 mm. The package includes a wall-mount bracket and screw pack, and a mobile bracket is also listed as an installation option. SmartRooms Qatar provides a free site survey before a panel this size is wall-mounted, followed by professional installation.

Power is rated at 100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz, drawing 555 W typical and 600 W maximum. The operating range is 0 °C to +40 °C, which is below the temperatures Qatar reaches in summer, so install it in an air-conditioned room, keep ventilation clear and confirm cooling capacity before the unit goes in. Operating humidity is 10% to 90%, non-condensing.

Connections include a Type-C input carrying DisplayPort at 4K60 with 65 W power delivery, two HDMI 2.0 inputs, one HDMI 2.0 output, three USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, RJ-45 Ethernet, RS-232, and dual-band Wi-Fi with Bluetooth 5.3. DeepHub Meeting collaboration software is sold separately, so include it in your request if your team needs it.
