What the Hisense 65WM5GE is

The Hisense 65WM5GE is a 65-inch interactive display that puts a large touch screen, a smart whiteboard and an Android computer in one enclosure. The panel runs at 3840 x 2160 pixels, so slides, drawings and spreadsheets stay sharp when shown to a full room. Android 13 runs on an octa-core processor with 8GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and the display gives access to the Google Play Store and built-in Google apps and accounts.

Picture, touch and sound facts that matter

Brightness is rated at 400 nits typical, with a 1,200:1 typical contrast ratio and 10-bit colour, giving 1.07 billion colours from a panel with 72% NTSC gamut coverage. The anti-glare glass reduces reflections from ceiling lights and windows, which helps in rooms where blinds cannot be fully closed. The infrared touch frame is rated at 90% touch accuracy (+1 mm) and supports multi-touch on Windows and Android. Built-in speakers are rated 2 x 18W, and the 60Hz refresh rate with 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles keeps the image readable from across the room.

Connectivity and expansion

Video inputs: three HDMI 2.0 ports with 4K support, plus one USB-C port with 65W power delivery.
Computer and network: one LAN port (1000BASE-T), a dual Wi-Fi module, Bluetooth 5.3 and one optional OPS slot powered at DC 18V/5A.
Peripherals and control: three USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, an audio input, a touch input, and RS-232 in and out on RJ45 connectors.
Outputs: one HDMI out, one coaxial out and one audio out, useful for sending the signal to a second screen or sound system.

Where it fits in Qatar

A private school in Al Wakrah fitting out a classroom can use the touch frame for pupils who write in Arabic and English during the same lesson, and the Arabic menu option suits bilingual staff. A consultancy office in West Bay running hybrid meetings can feed a laptop or room codec through HDMI, with the USB-C port charging a compatible laptop while connected. A training centre in Lusail can use the dual Wi-Fi to share content from tablets without cables.

Planning the installation

Wall mounting: VESA 600 x 400 mm with four M8 screws, and one wall mount bracket is included.
Size: 1488.1 x 935.1 x 121.7 mm (58.6 x 36.8 x 4.8 inch). Allow for the panel width and for cable routing behind the wall.
Environment: operating range 0 to 40°C at 20 to 80% humidity. Qatar summers exceed 45°C outdoors, so install in an air-conditioned indoor room away from direct sunlight.
Power: input 100V to 240V AC, 50/60Hz, 240W maximum without OPS, and standby under 0.5W. The power cable is country dependent, so confirm it has a BS 1363 Type G plug.
Accessories: one user manual, two pens, one remote control, one power cable, two batteries and one wall mount bracket.

A free site survey helps confirm wall structure, sightlines and the mounting position before installation. Request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar with your room details, and we will return a quotation usually within one working day.

Questions about 65WM5GE

What is the Hisense 65WM5GE designed for?

It suits a classroom, training room or medium-sized meeting room where a 65-inch screen is the right scale. The 3840 x 2160 panel with 400 nits typical brightness shows slides and documents clearly, while the touch frame lets several people annotate at once. It fits teams that present, teach and co-edit on one display.

Will the screen stay readable in a Doha room with windows?

The panel is rated at 400 nits typical and has anti-glare glass, which cuts reflections from ceiling lights and windows. Strong Qatari daylight still reduces contrast, so position the screen away from direct sun and use blinds where possible. A free site survey can check sightlines before installation.

Does the touch function work with both Windows and Android?

Yes. The infrared touch frame supports multi-touch on Windows and Android, and the source lists Windows 11, 10, 8 and 7 compatibility. Touch accuracy is rated at 90% (+1 mm). The display includes one dedicated touch input port, so confirm your computer connection requirements when you request a quote.

Which operating system and storage does it run?

It runs Android 13 on an octa-core processor with 8GB RAM and 64GB storage. It gives access to the Google Play Store, built-in Google apps and accounts, and certified Android applications. The source also states EDLA certification, which supports synchronisation of built-in Google apps.

Can I add a plug-in computer module?

Yes. The display has one optional OPS slot powered at DC 18V/5A. The accessory list does not include an OPS module, so ask SmartRooms Qatar to confirm the module you need. The rated 240W maximum is stated without OPS, so confirm the power figure with the module you choose.

Does it suit Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz power supply?

Its input is rated AC 100V to 240V at 50/60Hz, so it covers Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz mains. Maximum consumption without OPS is 240W, and standby is under 0.5W. The power cable is country dependent, so confirm the supplied cable has a BS 1363 Type G plug before you order.

How big is the panel and what wall do I need?

The overall size is 1488.1 x 935.1 x 121.7 mm, and the VESA pattern is 600 x 400 mm with four M8 screws. One wall mount bracket is included. The source does not list the weight, so arrange a free site survey to check the wall structure before drilling.

Can it run in a hot room during Qatar's summer?

Its operating range is 0 to 40°C with 20 to 80% humidity. Summer temperatures in Qatar can exceed 45°C outdoors, so install it in an air-conditioned indoor room, keep it out of direct sunlight and away from unventilated cabinets. Confirm the room's cooling during the site survey.

How would it work in a West Bay office running hybrid meetings?

A laptop or room codec can feed the screen through one of three HDMI 2.0 inputs, and the LAN port gives a wired network option alongside dual Wi-Fi. The USB-C port supports 65W power delivery, so a compatible laptop can charge while connected. The RS-232 ports on RJ45 connectors allow integration with room control systems.

Is wireless screen sharing secure enough for a government office?

The manufacturer describes multi-OS wireless screen sharing with high security, stability and low latency, plus built-in protection against unauthorised access. Ask SmartRooms Qatar for detail on these features before you set network policy, especially for ministry or authority networks.

Does the menu support Arabic for bilingual offices?

Yes. The system language list includes English as the default and Arabic, along with many other languages. This suits Qatari offices that work in Arabic and English side by side, such as a school with bilingual staff or a government unit with mixed teams. Confirm your preferred language setup when you request a quote.

What comes in the box, and how do we order several units?

The box includes one user manual, two pens, one remote control, one power cable, two batteries and one wall mount bracket. Schools and government buyers can order several units against a purchase order or LPO. SmartRooms Qatar supports LPOs and government tenders, including Monaqasat, and quotations are usually issued within one working day.
