An 86-inch 4K touch panel built on Android 14

The iiyama ProLite TE8615A-B2AG is an 86-inch interactive display with a 3840 x 2160 native resolution and an IPS panel rated at 550 cd/m² brightness, 1200:1 static contrast and 5000:1 dynamic contrast. It runs iiWare 21E on Android 14 and is Google EDLA certified, so Google accounts, apps and files can be opened directly on the screen, and the manufacturer also states compatibility with the Microsoft 365 suite.

Specifications that matter in daily teaching and meetings

Touch is handled by DeepContrast-IR++ with 40 touch points and 32-point writing under Android, at a 200 Hz scan rate and 5 ms touch response. Palm rejection lets a presenter rest a hand on the glass while writing. Optical bonding removes the air gap between the glass and the LCD, which reduces parallax so the ink stays close to the pen tip. The anti-glare glass is 3.2 mm thick with 7H hardness and an anti-bacterial coating. The 8-array microphone picks up voices up to 8 metres away, and two 20 W front-facing speakers are paired with a 20 W subwoofer at the back.

Connectivity, OPS and control

Video inputs: two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.2 and a USB-C input that carries video, touch data and 100 W power delivery.
Network and control: built-in WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.0, two RJ45 LAN ports and an RS-232c port for control systems.
Expansion: an Intel OPS 80-pin slot for an optional OPS PC, four USB ports, a micro SD slot and a 1000 Mbit LAN with automatic PC and Android switching.

Wireless screen sharing through the built-in EShare app works with Windows, iOS and Android devices, and iiControl (DMS) supports central management when several panels are deployed.

Where it fits in Qatar

In a private school in Al Wakrah fitting out new classrooms, the 86-inch format gives a full class a readable writing surface, and the pen holders and four included touch pens keep writing tools at the front of the room. In a boardroom in West Bay, the speakers, microphone and HDMI and USB-C inputs support meetings that connect Doha with teams abroad. A training centre in Msheireb can use the panel for lessons and presentations, but the OSD language list does not include Arabic, so confirm menu language needs with the SmartRooms Qatar team before ordering.

What to plan for before installation

The panel weighs 68 kg without its box and 82.7 kg with it, and its product dimensions are 1955.6 x 1174.3 x 87.1 mm. The wall must carry that load and support the VESA 800 x 600 mm pattern. A wall-mounting bracket for that pattern is included. The operating temperature range is 0°C to 40°C, so install it in an air-conditioned room away from windows and sunlit lobbies, where Qatar's summer heat can exceed that range. The manufacturer recommends no more than 18 hours of use per day for longevity, although the components are rated for 24/7 operation. Typical power use is 300 W, with 0.5 W on standby. The manufacturer's warranty is five years, subject to its eligibility terms.

SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys, so the wall, the viewing distance and the power and data routing can be checked before the panel is fixed in place. Quotations are usually issued within one working day.

Questions about TE8615A-B2AG

Is the TE8615A-B2AG the right size for a lecture hall in Education City?

The 86-inch diagonal (85.6 inches, 217.4 cm) gives a large writing and display surface for a lecture hall or seminar room where students sit several rows back. The viewable area is 1895 x 1066 mm, and the viewing angle is 178 degrees horizontal and vertical. Because the panel weighs 68 kg without its box, plan the wall and mounting before ordering, and SmartRooms Qatar can arrange a free site survey to check the room.

Can staff in a West Bay office sign in to Google and Microsoft 365 on this panel?

Yes. The panel runs iiWare 21E on Android 14 and is Google EDLA certified, so Google accounts, apps, files and collaborative tools can be accessed directly on the screen. The manufacturer also states that it works with the Microsoft 365 suite. Staff can share a presentation from their own Windows, iOS or Android device through the built-in EShare app without a cable.

How responsive is the touch when a teacher writes in an Al Wakrah classroom?

DeepContrast-IR++ touch supports 40 touch points and 32-point writing under Android, with a 200 Hz scan rate, 5 ms touch response and accuracy of plus or minus 1 mm. Palm rejection lets the teacher rest a hand on the glass while writing. The panel accepts a stylus, a finger and a gloved hand, and four dual-function touch pens are included, so several teachers can share the board.

Will the picture stay clear in a sunny Lusail meeting room with large windows?

The panel has a brightness of 550 cd/m², a native resolution of 3840 x 2160 and a pixel pitch of 0.493 mm. Its anti-glare glass with anti-gloss treatment reduces reflections, and the viewing angle is 178 degrees. For a room with a glazed wall, we recommend a site survey to check the position of the panel relative to the windows, because direct sunlight can still affect any display.

Can we connect a laptop, a PC and a video conferencing camera at the same time?

The panel has two HDMI 2.0 inputs, one DisplayPort 1.2 input and a USB-C input that carries video, touch data and 100 W power delivery to charge a laptop. It also offers an HDMI output and a USB-C output, two RJ45 LAN ports, and four USB ports. The source data lists the UC-CAM10PRO-1 and UC CAM120ULB-1 camera models as compatible accessories, so confirm the exact camera you need with your quotation.

What is the OPS slot for, and does it need an extra PC?

The Intel OPS 80-pin slot takes an optional OPS PC module, so a computer can sit inside the display rather than on the desk. The settings include an option to boot the OPS PC with the system, which helps when the panel is in a meeting room with a shared PC. The OPS PC is optional and is not included with the panel.

How heavy is the panel and what wall does it need?

The product weighs 68 kg without its box and 82.7 kg with it, and its product dimensions are 1955.6 x 1174.3 x 87.1 mm. It uses a VESA 800 x 600 mm mounting pattern, and a wall-mounting bracket for that pattern is included. Plan for a structurally sound wall and at least two installers. A free site survey from SmartRooms Qatar can confirm the wall and the cable routing before installation.

Can it be used in an outdoor area, a sunlit lobby or an unconditioned store room?

No. The operating temperature range is 0°C to 40°C, so the panel is designed for indoor, air-conditioned rooms. Summer temperatures in Doha often exceed 45°C, so avoid sunlit lobbies, glazed walls and any space without climate control. Confirm your room conditions with the SmartRooms Qatar team before ordering, and ask for a quote that includes an air-conditioned installation location.

Does the panel support Arabic menus for a bilingual office or school?

The OSD language list includes English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Czech, Dutch, Polish, Catalan, Swedish, Finnish, Danish and Norwegian, but Arabic is not listed. A bilingual office or school should confirm the menu language and the language of the apps it plans to use before ordering. The SmartRooms Qatar team can check the current options for this model as part of your quotation.

Is it compatible with Qatar's 240 V mains supply?

The internal power supply accepts AC 100 to 240 V at 50 or 60 Hz, which includes Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz mains. Typical power use is 300 W, with 0.5 W in standby and 0.3 W in off mode. The package includes a 3 m power cable for the EU plug and a 3 m cable for the UK plug. The plug or adapter for BS 1363 Type G sockets should be confirmed with your quotation.

Does the manufacturer warranty cover the panel, and what is the energy rating?

The manufacturer states a five-year warranty, with eligible countries and details listed on its website, so check the terms for Qatar when you request a quote. The panel is rated energy class G under EU Regulation 2017/1369 and carries an EPEAT Bronze certification where iiyama registers the product. SmartRooms Qatar supplies the panel with delivery to all eight municipalities and professional installation.

Can a government ministry or public body buy this panel through a tender?

Yes. SmartRooms Qatar supports purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders, including Monaqasat, and accepts payment by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. For a ministry or public body buying one 86-inch panel for a meeting room, we provide a quotation that lists the panel, mounting bracket and included accessories, and we can deliver to any of the eight municipalities of Qatar.

Is the TE8615A-B2AG suitable for an office with several meeting rooms that need the same setup?

Yes, the panel suits meeting rooms that need the same setup, because the same control options are available across units. The iiControl (DMS) software supports central management, and the RS-232c port and two RJ45 LAN ports allow control from a room system. For several units, send the room list with the wall details and request one quotation covering all units and installation.
