What the 50-inch model is built for

The Microsoft Surface Hub 3 50-inch is a meeting-room collaboration board that runs Windows 11 IoT Enterprise with the Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows experience. It brings a large touch screen, a 4K camera, speakers and microphone arrays into one unit, so a room can host a Teams call and a shared whiteboard session at the same time. Its 3:2 screen is taller than a standard widescreen panel, which suits working documents, whiteboarding and content shown in portrait.

Display, camera and audio for a 3:2 screen

• Resolution: 3840 x 2560 pixels on an anti-glare IPS LCD with 8-bit colour and a 15.5 mm border.
• Touch and ink: in-cell touch with 10 simultaneous points, with active dual-pen inking and one Surface Hub Pen in the box.
• Camera: a 4K Surface Hub Smart Camera with a 136-degree horizontal field of view, connected over a custom USB-C link.
• Audio: three-way front-facing stereo speakers and two full-band 8-element microphone arrays, certified for Teams use up to 2.3 metres away.
• Orientation: smart rotation between landscape and Portrait, with audio optimised for the chosen orientation.

Ports, processing and management

The board has four USB-C ports, including two camera ports, one USB-A port, an RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port, and a Mini-DisplayPort video output that needs Windows 10 or 11 Pro or Enterprise. Its HDMI input and USB-C DisplayPort input are available in bypass only. It has an Intel i5 processor, 32 GB memory, 512 GB storage, Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Bluetooth 5.1 and Teams Cast. IT teams can manage settings and policies remotely in Microsoft Endpoint Manager and monitor device health in the Teams Admin Centre. A Windows 11 Pro or Enterprise licence and image are sold separately.

Where the 50-inch fits across Qatar

A government authority in Msheireb might use it in a mid-sized boardroom to join colleagues in Doha and abroad, marking up a shared draft on the screen while remote participants see the room through the camera. A private school in Al Wakrah could place one in a staff room for planning sessions with bilingual teams. An engineering consultancy in the Industrial Area could use it in a project room to review drawings in portrait orientation.

Planning the installation

At 741 mm high, 1,097 mm wide, 76 mm deep and 28 kg, the 50-inch model needs a wall or stand rated for its weight. Compatible height-adjustable mobile stands are sold separately, so confirm your stand choice when you request a quote. The rated input is 100 V to 240 V at 50/60 Hz, with 445 W operating and 35 W standby, supplied with a 3 m AC power cable. Qatar mains run at 240 V 50 Hz with BS 1363 (Type G) sockets, so confirm that the supplied cable suits your outlets. Our product data does not give an operating temperature range, so we will confirm the room environment with you before installation. The manufacturer's 1-year limited hardware warranty applies. A note on availability
