Hubware H5 86

What the Hubware H5 86 is and why its status matters

The OneScreen Hubware H5 86 is an 86-inch interactive display from the Hubware H5 series, combining a large 4K touch panel with a built-in OPS PC and an Android system. The manufacturer has discontinued this model. This page is written for organisations that already run one, for buyers comparing it with newer displays, and for anyone who needs a replacement that suits the same room. SmartRooms Qatar can quote a current equivalent or a compatible replacement.

Panel and touch facts that matter on a large screen

The panel is an original LG IPS LED with 4K UHD resolution of 3840 x 2160 and a 60 Hz refresh rate. Brightness is rated at 400 cd/m², and the 178° viewing angle keeps the picture readable from the side of a room. The anti-glare glass carries an 8 MOHS surface rating. Touch is 20-point infrared, works with a finger or stylus, is rated at 2mm accuracy and responds in under 8ms.

At a pixel pitch of 0.4935 mm, the 86-inch panel helps small text and diagrams stay readable for people seated further back, which is why this size is often chosen for lecture halls and large boardrooms.

Built-in PC, Android and conferencing hardware

The OPS PC uses an Intel i7 7th Gen processor with 8GB RAM, a 256 GB SSD, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Windows 10 Pro. A separate Android 6 system with 2GB RAM and 64GB storage runs on the same display. Five multi-media USB ports switch automatically between Android and the OPS PC during use, so a presenter does not need to change inputs to move from a web app to a Windows file.

For meetings, the package includes a 1080p full HD PTZ camera with 12x optical zoom and 60fps capture, a speakerphone with adaptive array microphones rated to a 15 ft range, and a full-size Logitech wireless keyboard with touchpad. The bundle also includes two styluses, an extendable wand, and remote controls for the display and the camera.

Where it fits in Qatar

• Executive boardroom in West Bay or Msheireb: the PTZ camera and speakerphone support video calls with teams abroad, while the OPS PC runs the presentation on the same screen.
• University lecture room in Education City: lecturers annotate slides with the touch layer and can save or share notes using the OneScreen Write and Annotate software.
• Government training room in Doha: one display can host an OPS PC session and Android apps, with the USB ports switching automatically between them, which suits a room used for several sessions a week.

What to plan before you order

The product weighs 218 lbs, and its shipping weight is 284 lbs. The listed product size is 77.6 x 42.1 x 4.1 inches. The included flush wall mount follows a 600 x 400 VESA pattern, so ask for a free site survey to confirm wall structure, access route and cable runs before installation. The source does not give an operating temperature range, so confirm the room conditions with the SmartRooms Qatar team before placing the display near windows or in a space that is not air-conditioned. The power supply is rated for 100-240V at 50/60 Hz, which covers Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz mains, but confirm the plug and socket arrangement on site.

The advanced hardware replacement warranty was listed as available at the time of purchase only, so check the cover on any existing unit with the supplier who sold it. Products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
