Hubware H6 Education 65

What the Hubware H6 Education 65 is

The Hubware H6 Education 65 is a 65-inch interactive display that brings a 4K LG panel, an infrared touch frame and a built-in OPS PC into one unit. Teachers and presenters can write, annotate and share from the screen without attaching a separate computer. OneScreen has discontinued this model, so this page serves organisations that already run it, buyers comparing it with newer units, and anyone who needs a like-for-like replacement.

Display and touch figures that matter in a room

The 3840 x 2160 resolution at 60 Hz keeps text and diagrams sharp when a lesson or report fills the screen. Brightness is rated at 400+ cd/m2, and the anti-glare glass with an 8 MOHS surface rating helps in rooms with daylight or overhead lights. Viewing angles of 178 degrees horizontally and 176 degrees vertically mean learners seated at the sides still read the same content.

The 20-point infrared touch has a stated accuracy of 3mm and a response time of 2.5 m/s or better. Palm detection lets a presenter rest a hand on the glass, while pen and touch differentiation keeps annotation and navigation separate.

Built-in OPS PC, software and connections

The OPS PC runs an Intel i5 7th Gen processor with 8GB DDR4 memory and a 256GB SSD, and supports Linux and Windows 7, 8 and 10. Android 8.0 is available alongside it, with 3GB memory and 64GB storage, and the display supports dual-mode USB for both. The listed software includes annotation tools, multi-device screen sharing, a Google Play Store with multi-user sign-in, and cloud services for video conferencing, central control and class attendance.

• Video inputs: three HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort, VGA and an optional HDMI output.
• Connectivity: RJ-45, RS232, dual-band Wi-Fi with 5G hotspot and five USB ports front and rear.
• Audio: two 16W speakers with automatic volume control and an equaliser.

Where it fits across Qatar

In a classroom in Al Wakrah being refitted for the new academic year, the 65-inch size suits a room where one teacher and one class share a single board, and the touch surface lets lessons move between writing, video and web pages.

In a West Bay meeting room where a team in Doha connects with colleagues abroad, the 1080p web camera, its 12’ microphone range and the video conferencing service let the panel act as the main screen for presentations and calls.

In a training room in Lusail or an office fit-out in Msheireb, the panel works where wall space is fixed and one unit must handle presentations and touch annotation without extra equipment.

Planning the installation

The wall mount pattern is VESA 500 x 400 and a flush wall mount is provided. The panel measures 58.5 x 35.8 x 3.5 inches and weighs 88.2 lbs, about 40 kg, so the wall, fixings and route for carrying the panel must be checked before fitting. SmartRooms Qatar provides free site surveys, which cover wall type, power and cable routing.

The power supply accepts AC 100-240V at 50/60 Hz with a maximum draw of 200W and standby of 0.5W or less, which covers Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz mains. The package includes a US power cable, so confirm the plug arrangement for BS 1363 sockets. The data gives no operating temperature range, so confirm room conditions, especially near windows or in lobbies exposed to summer heat above 45°C and dust storms, before placing the unit.

Next step: a quotation for a current equivalent

Because this model is discontinued, request a quotation that names the room, the wall, the number of units and the software you need. SmartRooms Qatar will recommend a current equivalent or compatible replacement and usually issues quotations within one working day. Organisations ordering through a purchase order (LPO) or a government tender can raise that at the same time. Request a quote today.
