Overview

The Touchscreen Core 98 is a 98-inch interactive display for classrooms, lecture halls and large meeting rooms in Qatar. It runs Android 14 with EDLA certification and offers a 3840 × 2160 panel, 450 cd/m2 brightness and 1 mm touch accuracy across up to 50 touch points. Two 20W speakers, a subwoofer, an OPS PC slot and Wi-Fi 6E make it a self-contained teaching and presentation display. Request a quote for supply and installation across Qatar.

What the Touchscreen Core 98 delivers

The Touchscreen Core 98 is a 98-inch interactive display built around a 3840 × 2160 panel with a 60 Hz refresh rate and 1.07 billion display colours. An octa-core processor, a 6 TOPS NPU for AI tasks, 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage run Android 14 with EDLA certification. Its infrared touch layer tracks up to 50 points with 1 mm accuracy, so several people can write or move objects on the glass at the same time.

Display and touch details that matter in a large room

Brightness: 450 cd/m2 with a 1200:1 contrast ratio and a 178° viewing angle, so content stays readable from the back row.
Surface: an anti-glare, anti-fingerprint coating with 9H hardness reduces reflections from windows and ceiling lights.
Touch handling: palm rejection and pen and touch differentiation let a teacher rest a hand on the glass while writing with a stylus.
Sound: two 20W speakers, a 20W subwoofer and an 8-array microphone with noise reduction support lessons and calls.

Connectivity and expansion

Three HDMI inputs (one front, two side), one HDMI output, a VGA input and a DP 1.2 input cover most laptops and classroom PCs. The front Type-C input supplies up to 65W, and full-feature Type-C carries USB, video, audio, network and touch. The OPS PC slot takes an OPS computer module, while two Gigabit Ethernet ports, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 handle networking. An RS232 serial port and an SPDIF output support control and audio systems.

Where it fits in Qatar

A university lecture hall in Education City, where the large surface supports group exercises and students at the back can read the content clearly.
A boardroom in West Bay or Lusail, where a laptop connects through the front Type-C input and the display carries shared sessions with teams abroad.
A training room at a government authority in Msheireb, where bilingual presentation files open from a single laptop on one large screen.

What to plan before installation

At 185.96 lb (about 84.4 kg) with dimensions of 87.4 × 51.9 × 3.5 inches, the panel needs a wall that has been checked for load before mounting. A flush VESA 800 × 600 wall mount is included. The operating range is 0°C to 40°C with 10% to 90% relative humidity, so the unit belongs in an air-conditioned room, away from direct sunlight and dusty entrances, because summer heat outside in Doha regularly passes 45°C. The spec data lists 360 W power consumption, so the electrical supply should be confirmed during the survey.

Questions about Touchscreen Core 98

What is the Touchscreen Core 98 and who is it best suited to?

The Touchscreen Core 98 is a 98-inch interactive display for classrooms, lecture halls, boardrooms and training rooms that need a large shared touch surface. It suits schools, universities and corporate teams in Qatar that want one screen for teaching, presentations and annotation. Android 14, 8 GB RAM, 128 GB storage and a 3840 × 2160 panel are built in.

Is 98 inches too large for a standard classroom in Qatar?

It works best in rooms that seat a large group in front of the panel, such as a lecture hall or a large meeting room, where viewing distance stays comfortable. For a standard classroom, a smaller size in the Touchscreen Core range is usually the better fit. SmartRooms Qatar can check the room dimensions and sightlines during a free site survey before you decide.

How many people can touch the screen at once?

The panel supports up to 50 touch points with 1 mm touch accuracy, so several students can write or drag objects at the same time. Palm rejection stops a resting hand from registering as input, and pen and touch differentiation lets the teacher switch between a stylus and a finger. Two stylus pens with anti-bacterial coating and an extendable stylus are included.

How bright is the screen in a room with windows?

The display is rated at 450 cd/m2 with a 1200:1 contrast ratio and a 178° viewing angle. Its anti-glare, anti-fingerprint surface with 9H hardness reduces reflections from windows. An ambient light sensor adjusts brightness automatically. In rooms facing the afternoon sun, blinds and careful panel placement still make a noticeable difference to readability.

Which inputs does it accept from laptops and external devices?

It has three HDMI inputs (one front, two side), one HDMI output, a VGA input, a DP 1.2 input, a 65W front Type-C input and a 15W rear Type-C input. Full-feature Type-C carries USB, video, audio, network and touch. There are also 3.5mm audio in and out, an SPDIF output and an RS232 serial port for control systems.

Can I add a Windows PC to the display?

The unit has one OPS PC slot, which accepts an OPS computer module. The spec data for this model does not list an OPS PC as bundled, so it would be quoted separately as an add-on. Your SmartRooms Qatar quotation will state exactly which components are included, so you can compare the display with and without an OPS computer.

Does it have built-in speakers and a microphone for lessons and calls?

Yes. It has two built-in 20W speakers with left and right channels, a 20W subwoofer and an 8-array microphone with noise reduction. Voice commands are supported when a microphone is in use. For larger halls, the optional Amplifyr and wireless mic kit add amplification and two wireless microphones with a receiver.

What environment can it operate in during Qatar summers?

The operating temperature range is 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F) with 10% to 90% relative humidity. Summer temperatures in Doha can rise above 45°C, so install the Touchscreen Core 98 indoors in an air-conditioned room, away from direct sunlight and dust. Confirm the room's cooling and ventilation with the SmartRooms Qatar team during the site survey.

How heavy is it and what does the wall need to carry?

The product weighs 185.96 lb (about 84.4 kg) and measures 87.4 × 51.9 × 3.5 inches. A flush VESA 800 × 600 wall mount is included. Because of its weight, SmartRooms Qatar recommends a free site survey before mounting to check the wall structure, fixing points and the route for lifting the panel into position.

What is included in the box?

The package includes two stylus pens with anti-bacterial coating, one magnetic eraser, one remote control, one NFC card, one extendable stylus, one HDMI cable, one power cable and one USB touch cable. The flush VESA 800 × 600 wall mount is also part of the included accessories. Your quotation will confirm the final delivery list for your order.

What power does it draw, and what should I check before connecting it?

The spec data lists 360 W power consumption and 0.5 W in standby. Check the circuit capacity and the socket location before installation. The source data does not state a supply voltage, so SmartRooms Qatar will confirm the electrical requirements during the survey rather than assume them.

Can a school or government office order this through an LPO or tender?

Yes. SmartRooms Qatar accepts purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders, including Monaqasat, with payment by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. A school fitting out a hall with several 98-inch units should send the quantity and room list, and a quotation usually follows within one working day.
