Touchscreen TL7 Education 98

What the 98-inch TL7 gives a teaching room

The OneScreen Touchscreen TL7 Education 98-inch is the largest model in its series apart from the 105-inch version, and it sits above the 86-inch unit. The specifications cover the display, touch layer, Android 11 computer and speakers as one unit, so a room needs power, video sources and network connections rather than a separate media player. The 98-inch diagonal suits rooms where people at the back still need to read diagrams, text and video.

The panel is an ADS type with 3840 × 2160 resolution, 400 cd/m² brightness with glass, a 1,200:1 contrast ratio and 178° viewing angles. Its 10-bit colour depth gives 1.07 billion colours, and the 60Hz refresh rate matches the 4K at 60Hz rating of its HDMI ports.

Ports and touch details to check against your room

• Video inputs: three HDMI inputs up to 4K at 60Hz, one VGA input up to 1080p, and a 3.5mm audio input.
• USB-C: one port that carries video, audio, touch and LAN network sharing, with 65W Power Delivery.
• Outputs and control: one HDMI output up to 4K at 60Hz, RS-232 at 9600 baud, and two RJ-45 ports rated 10/100/1000Mbps.
• Touch: infrared recognition with 40 touch points, ±1.5mm accuracy, a 3mm minimum object size and a writing height of 3mm or less.
• Sound: 2.0 channels from two 16W speakers with an 80dB sound pressure level rating.

Touch support is listed for Windows, Android, Linux, Mac OS X and Chrome, so laptops from several platforms can share the panel. The TL7 series information also describes OneScreen Write for annotation and OneScreen Central for managing panels and devices across a site. Confirm with the SmartRooms Qatar team which software is included in your quotation.

Where it fits in Qatar

A university lecture theatre in Education City is a natural fit: a lecturer can annotate slides directly on the glass, play lab footage from an HDMI source and save notes to the built-in storage without moving to a separate computer.

A private school in Al Wakrah refitting its main hall can use the 98-inch screen for assemblies and bilingual presentations, provided the wall has been checked for the panel's weight.

A government ministry in West Bay or a training centre in the Industrial Area can use it for staff briefings and courses. Installation timing can be agreed with the site team around the Sunday to Thursday working week.

Summer heat is a planning point. The source data lists a storage temperature range of -20 °C to 60 °C and storage humidity of 10% to 90% RH, but no operating temperature range. Confirm room conditions with the SmartRooms Qatar team before placing the panel near windows or in any space without reliable air conditioning, especially when summer temperatures in Doha can exceed 45°C.

Planning the wall, weight and power

The 98-inch panel weighs 98.5 kg net and 128.1 kg gross. Its VESA pattern is 800 × 600 mm, it uses M8 × 25mm wall-hanging screws, and its total thickness with the listed wall mount (WIB9060F) is 138mm. A free site survey lets the SmartRooms Qatar team check the wall structure, the access route and the cable runs before you order.

The power input is 100–240V AC at 50/60Hz, which covers Qatar's 240V, 50Hz supply. Typical consumption is 360W, the listed maximum is 558W, and standby draw is 0.5W or less. Have an electrician confirm the socket type and circuit capacity during the site survey.
