What the 65-inch MultiBoard Light Gen 7 does in a room

The Prestigio MultiBoard PSMB018L657 brings a 65-inch display, a touch layer and a built-in Android computer into one unit. Instead of a projector, a laptop and a separate whiteboard, a room gets one screen that shows content, accepts touch input and runs apps without an external PC. The panel is a VA-type LCD with D-LED backlighting, a maximum resolution of 3840x2160 at 60 Hz and a rated lifespan of 50,000 hours.

Specifications that shape the buying decision

Image: 520 cd/m² brightness, 5,000:1 contrast, 6.5 ms response time and 178° viewing angles.
Touch: 50 touch points on tempered glass, so several people can annotate at the same time.
Processing: octa-core CPU, 8 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage on Android 14.
Networking: dual Wi-Fi with Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and two RJ-45 LAN ports.
Audio and voice: 2.1 speakers rated 60 W in total, and a four-microphone array that captures voice from up to 5 metres.

Where it fits across Qatar

In a boardroom in West Bay, a management team can review a shared Google Slides deck, then move straight into a video call with colleagues abroad using the built-in Google apps. The 65-inch size suits a room where participants sit within a few metres of the glass.

In a private primary school in Al Wakrah, teachers can run lessons from Google Classroom and manage assignments on one screen. The package includes a one-year mozaBook license for educational institutions, which adds a library of interactive learning materials.

In a Lusail office where teams share Word, PowerPoint and Excel files every week, Microsoft apps are available through the app store, and the included lifetime MobiOffice Premium license lets people edit documents without an active Microsoft 365 subscription.

What to plan before you order

Wall and weight: the panel measures 1489.8 mm by 924.7 mm, is 102.5 mm deep and weighs 34.5 kg, so the mounting wall should be checked before delivery.
Power: input is AC 100-240 V at 50/60 Hz with 450 W rated input power, and a 3 m power cable with a G-type plug is included.
Environment: the specification data does not state an operating temperature range, so confirm conditions with the SmartRooms Qatar team, especially for any space without air conditioning in summer.
Ports: plan HDMI, USB and RS232 routing for any camera, control system or laptop, since the panel has one HDMI output, three HDMI inputs and one RS232 input.

Questions about PSMB018L657

Who is a 65-inch MultiBoard best suited for?

The 65-inch size suits mid-sized meeting rooms, training rooms and small classrooms where people sit within a few metres of the screen. In a West Bay or Lusail office, it works well for team huddles and client reviews, and its 50 touch points let several people annotate at once. For a large lecture hall or boardroom with seating far from the screen, a larger model such as 86 inches would be a better fit. SmartRooms Qatar can help you compare sizes before you request a quote.

Can it run Google Classroom and Google Workspace without a computer?

Yes. The panel runs Android 14 and is Google EDLA-certified, with built-in access to Google apps and services. Teachers can open Drive files, present in Slides, manage assignments in Google Classroom and join Meet sessions directly on the screen. For a school in Al Wakrah or Al Khor, that means a lesson can start without connecting a laptop. The built-in Gemini AI assistant can also help draft lesson outlines and summarise notes.

Can staff work with Microsoft Office files on this panel?

Partly, through its own software and app store. Microsoft apps can be installed from the Play Store, so teams can present PowerPoint decks, join Teams meetings and review Excel data. Office documents can be opened and edited locally with pre-installed software, and the panel includes a lifetime MobiOffice Premium license for editing documents without an active Microsoft 365 subscription. Full Windows desktop software requires the optional PC module, which should be confirmed in your quotation.

How does the screen perform in a bright room with large windows?

The panel is rated at 520 cd/m² peak brightness with 5,000:1 contrast and 178° viewing angles, and the manufacturer positions it for well-lit rooms. In Doha offices with large windows, place the screen so direct sunlight does not hit the glass, and a site survey can check glare before installation. The data does not give an outdoor or direct-sun rating, so do not plan installation in a sunlit terrace or a glass-fronted lobby without confirming first with SmartRooms Qatar.

What connections does it offer for laptops, cameras and control systems?

The panel has one HDMI output, three HDMI inputs, five USB-A 3.2 ports, two USB-C 3.2 ports, two USB-B 2.0 ports, two RJ-45 LAN ports, a microphone input, an RS232 input and one S/PDIF output. One USB-C port is rated for 65 W charging and display output. The package includes a 3 m HDMI cable and a 3 m USB A/B cable. For a meeting room with a camera or room controller, the RS232 input and LAN ports should be part of your planning.

How many people can write on the screen at the same time?

The touch layer supports 50 touch points across the full screen, so several people can annotate, move objects or draw at once. Six writing pens and a remote control are included with the panel. In a training room or classroom, groups of students can work at the board together rather than taking turns. Check pen and touch behaviour against the manufacturer documentation during your quotation review.

Will the built-in microphones and speakers work for hybrid meetings?

The four-microphone array is rated to capture clear voice from up to 5 metres away, and the 2.1 speaker system delivers 60 W in total: two 20 W speakers and a 20 W subwoofer. That suits a mid-sized room where participants sit around a table. For larger rooms or regular calls with teams abroad, add a dedicated conference camera and speakerphone to improve coverage and remote audio.

What space and mounting planning does it need?

The device measures 1489.8 mm wide, 924.7 mm high and 102.5 mm deep, and weighs 34.5 kg. That is a heavy panel for a standard plasterboard wall, so check the wall structure and mounting points before delivery. SmartRooms Qatar offers a free site survey to confirm wall type, viewing distance and cable routing, and professional installation is available as part of the supply.

Does it work with Qatar's 240 V mains supply?

The power input is rated AC 100-240 V at 50/60 Hz, which covers the 240 V supply used in Qatar. The package includes a 3 m power cable with a G plug type, matching the BS 1363 sockets used across the country. Rated input power is 450 W, and standby consumption is 0.5 W. Arrange a socket near the mounting point, and let the installation team confirm the cable route during the site survey.

What operating temperature can it handle in a hot room?

The specification data available for this model does not list an operating temperature range, so we cannot state one. Temperatures in Qatar can exceed 45°C in summer, so for any room without reliable air conditioning, such as a store room or semi-enclosed space, ask SmartRooms Qatar to confirm the environmental limits in writing before ordering. The same check is worthwhile for air-conditioned boardrooms and classrooms during the site survey.

What warranty and ordering process apply?

The manufacturer warranty for this model is 36 months, and a warranty card is included in the box. SmartRooms Qatar usually issues quotations within one working day. Government bodies and schools can order with a purchase order or LPO, or through Monaqasat tenders. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. When ordering several units for a school campus, request one quotation covering all panels and installation.

Do I need the optional PC module to run Windows software?

No, not for the Android features. The optional PC module adds an Intel processor, Windows 11 Pro and built-in 3G/LTE connectivity, giving desktop-level performance for demanding applications. Without it, the panel runs Android apps and edits Office documents through its own software. Ask for your quotation to state whether the PC module is included, because the base specification treats it as an option.
