What the 97-inch SMART Board M797V is

The SMART Board M797V is a 97-inch interactive whiteboard from the M700V series, designed to be wall mounted in front of a projector. Touch the surface with a finger or the included pen to open applications, browse files, edit documents, visit websites or play video, then write over any of them in digital ink. Notes can be saved for later or shared with colleagues and students.

The V in the model name matters when comparing. This version uses a pen ledge instead of the active pen tray found on standard M700 models. The active pen tray is not included with V models, so its quick-access features are not part of this package.

Touch performance for shared lessons and meetings

Infrared touch with Object Awareness distinguishes a finger, a pen, an eraser and a palm, and it recognises palm erasing automatically. The board handles up to 20 simultaneous touches for two users, who can write, erase, move objects or gesture at the same time without switching modes. Rotate, zoom and flick gestures work with natural hand movements, and the digitizing resolution is approximately 32,767 by 32,767.

The hard-coated steel surface is optimised for projection and compatible with dry-erase markers, so a teacher or presenter can switch between digital ink and ordinary markers during a session.
