What the 98-inch CDX-i Pro gives a meeting room

The Specktron CDX-i Pro 98-inch, model DSCDX98I5KPN, belongs to the CDX-i Pro Series of corporate interactive displays. It suits rooms where people in the same space work with colleagues or students joining from elsewhere. At 98 inches, the screen gives a whole group one large shared surface, so documents, notes and calculations stay readable from the back row and on the video call.

Display, touch and processing

The series pairs a 4K UHD panel with 9H toughened anti-glare glass and a 178/178 viewing angle, so the image holds up for people seated off-centre. Touch is 50-point multi-touch with adaptive infrared technology, letting several people write, annotate or move objects at once. An Octa-Core processor drives the system, with 8GB or 16GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage depending on configuration. Built-in speakers are 2 x 20W.

• Panel: 4K UHD behind anti-glare 9H glass
• Touch: 50-point multi-touch with IR adaptive technology
• Audio: two 20W speakers built in

Connectivity, wireless sharing and the AI whiteboard

Multi-user wireless screen sharing with touchback lets presenters show content from their own devices without cables, and the wireless dongle adds one-click connection. BYOM compatibility is also listed. The AI whiteboard is SparkyAI-compatible and helps with lesson generation, equation solving, translation, summaries and interactive teaching. The port set includes HDMI in and out, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0, a USB-B touch port, LAN in and out, audio in and out, S/PDIF and RS232. Port counts vary by SKU and size.

Where it fits in Qatar

In a boardroom in West Bay, a leadership team can review a shared document with colleagues in Doha and abroad, while each manager shares from a laptop without cables. In a university lecture hall in Education City, an instructor can solve equations live on the panel and use the AI whiteboard to prepare summaries for the next session. In a government meeting room in Msheireb, department heads can present in turn from their own devices during a review. A private school in Al Wakrah fitting out a multipurpose hall could use it for assemblies and small-group teaching.

What to plan before you order

A 98-inch panel is heavy and needs a wall or stand that can carry it, so SmartRooms Qatar offers a free site survey before installation. The survey covers wall structure, power and network routes, and the distance to the furthest seat. The published specifications for this series cover the 65, 75 and 86-inch sizes, so confirm brightness, camera and microphone availability, and the port layout for the 98-inch model in your quotation. Windows is optional through an OPS module with an Intel i5 or i7 configuration, up to 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. Compatible accessories are the wireless dongle, the OPS Windows module and stands. No operating temperature range is given for this model, so the installation environment, including direct sun and dust exposure during Qatar's summer, will be checked before the quotation is finalised.

Schools and government bodies can order against a purchase order (LPO) or a Monaqasat tender, and pay by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. Quotations are usually issued within one working day.
