Overview

The Specktron DSUDX98S2KPP is the 98-inch model in the UDX-S2 Pro Series, a 4K UHD interactive display with a 400-nit panel, 50-point infrared touch and Android 14 on an octa-core processor. Its 2 x 25W speakers with a 20W subwoofer suit large lecture halls and executive boardrooms, while wireless sharing from up to nine devices lets presenters work without cables.

A 98-inch display for rooms that need a shared canvas

The Specktron DSUDX98S2KPP is the largest model in the UDX-S2 Pro Series. It pairs a 4K UHD panel rated at 400 nits with 50-point infrared touch, an octa-core processor and Android 14. At this size, a lecture theatre, boardroom or training hall gives several people a single surface to read, write and annotate during the same session.

Specifications that shape daily use

Display: 4K UHD resolution, 400-nit brightness and a 178/178 viewing angle.
Touch: 50-point multi-touch using adaptive infrared technology, behind 9H toughened anti-fingerprint glass.
Processing: octa-core processor with 16GB RAM and 256GB storage, running Android 14 with Google EDLA certification.
Audio: built-in 8 array microphone, plus 2 x 25W speakers and a 20W subwoofer.

Brightness matters in rooms with windows. The 400-nit rating is higher than the 350 nits listed for the 65-inch and 75-inch models, which helps the image stay readable when daylight reaches the screen. Even so, position the panel away from direct sun and use blinds on west-facing windows.

Connectivity for meetings that mix Arabic and English

Presenters can connect through three HDMI inputs, one HDMI output, a DisplayPort input and a VGA port for older equipment. A USB-C port listed at 65W sits alongside four USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port and two USB-B touch ports for touch control from a connected computer. Two LAN ports (in and out), audio in and out, SPDIF, RS232 and a TF-card slot complete the list. Wireless sharing supports up to nine devices with touchback control, and BYOM compatibility is listed in the specification.

Where the 98-inch model fits in Qatar

A university lecture hall in Education City can use the panel for a class of several dozen students, with two or three people annotating the screen at once. A boardroom at a government authority in West Bay can run meetings that connect Doha with teams abroad, with Android 14, Play Store access and Google Workspace integration available on the panel itself. A hotel conference room in Lusail or a training centre in the Industrial Area can host workshops where each delegate shares from a laptop without changing cables.

What to plan before ordering

A 98-inch panel is large and heavy. Book a free site survey before wall-mounting so the wall, the mount and the cable route can be checked. The source data gives no operating temperature range for this model, so confirm room conditions with the SmartRooms Qatar team before installation, especially for spaces exposed to summer heat or dust through windows or entrances. Accessories listed as compatible include wireless dongles, an OPS Windows module and stands. The camera is listed only for the 65-inch, 75-inch and 86-inch models, so confirm what this unit includes. Schools and public bodies ordering more than one unit can issue an LPO.

Questions about DSUDX98S2KPP

Who is the Specktron DSUDX98S2KPP designed for?

The 98-inch DSUDX98S2KPP suits large rooms where many people need to see and touch the same screen, such as university lecture halls, executive boardrooms and training centres. Its 50-point touch lets two or more presenters write or annotate together, while Android 14 gives staff access to the apps they already use. For a small meeting room, a smaller model in the series may be a better fit.

How does the 400-nit brightness affect use in a room with windows?

The panel is rated at 400 nits, higher than the 350 nits listed for the 65-inch and 75-inch models. That difference helps the image stay clear when daylight reaches the screen. Even so, a position away from direct sunlight and blinds on west-facing windows will make text easier to read in afternoon sessions in Doha.

What touch capability does this model have?

It supports 50-point multi-touch using adaptive infrared technology, so several people can write or move objects at the same time. The front is 9H toughened glass with an anti-fingerprint finish, which helps keep the surface clean in busy classrooms. Ask SmartRooms Qatar to confirm the touch setup for your room when you request a quote.

Does the 98-inch model include the camera for auto-framing?

The manufacturer lists the 50MP AI camera with auto-framing and auto-tracking for the 65-inch, 75-inch and 86-inch models only, and does not list it for the 98-inch. The built-in 8 array microphone appears in the general specification. Before choosing this model for a hybrid lecture or board meeting, ask SmartRooms Qatar to confirm whether this unit includes a camera.

How would a university in Education City use it for a lecture with student participation?

Large lectures are the setting this screen suits. The lecturer can show slides from one HDMI source while students join from their own devices through wireless sharing, which supports up to nine devices with touchback control. The 50-point touch lets several students work at the board during problem-solving sessions. Confirm seating layout and screen-to-wall distance during the site survey.

How could a government authority in West Bay use this panel in a boardroom?

A boardroom can use the panel to present documents and run meetings with teams working abroad. The listed software includes Android 14 with Google EDLA certification, Play Store access and Google Workspace integration, so staff can open shared files directly on the screen. The source also cites enterprise-grade security within this setup, which is worth reviewing with your IT team before ordering.

What suits a private school in Al Wakrah fitting out a large classroom?

A large classroom or multipurpose hall benefits from the 2 x 25W speakers and 20W subwoofer listed for the 98-inch model, which are stronger than the 2 x 20W speakers on the smaller sizes. Three HDMI inputs allow teacher laptops and other classroom devices to connect. Schools ordering several units can issue an LPO, and SmartRooms Qatar will confirm lead times with the quotation, based on stock.

Can a hotel in Lusail use it in conference rooms?

The panel suits presentations and events with large audiences. Wireless sharing from up to nine devices lets speakers switch presenters without changing cables between sessions. The VGA input and DisplayPort input support older laptops and equipment. During the survey, confirm that the room lighting and ceiling layout suit a screen of this size.

Does the panel work in the heat and dust common in Qatar?

The source data gives no operating temperature range for this model, so this page cannot confirm one. Summer temperatures above 45°C and dust storms are real concerns for lobbies and window-facing spaces. Ask SmartRooms Qatar to confirm the right environment before installation, and plan to install the panel in an air-conditioned room.

What should I check before wall-mounting a 98-inch panel?

A 98-inch panel is large and heavy, so the wall, the mounting system and the route for moving the unit should be checked before delivery. SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys that cover the wall, cable runs and power point positions. Stands are among the listed compatible accessories, so decide whether you need one when requesting a quote.

How do I connect a laptop, and which ports are available?

Laptops can connect through three HDMI inputs, one DisplayPort input or the USB-C port listed at 65W. Four USB 3.0 ports and one USB 2.0 port handle peripherals, while two USB-B touch ports carry touch control from a connected computer. Two LAN ports, audio in and out, SPDIF, RS232 and a TF-card slot are also listed.

Can I add a Windows PC or a wireless dongle?

The specification lists an optional Windows configuration with i5 or i7 processors, up to 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD. An OPS Windows module and wireless dongles also appear among the compatible accessories. Ask SmartRooms Qatar which Windows option applies to the 98-inch unit before you order.
