What the IFP7550-3 gives a 75-inch room

The ViewSonic IFP7550-3 is a 75-inch interactive display built on a 3840 x 2160 UHD panel in a 16:9 landscape layout. Its 74.5-inch diagonal display area, 10-bit colour rendering 1.07 billion colours, 30,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 178-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles let people seated across a room read small text and charts from their own seats. The surface has an anti-glare coating and a 9H hardness rating, which helps in rooms with large windows or strong overhead lighting.

Touch, writing and sharing on one panel

Infrared touch recognises up to 20 touch points and 10 writing points, so several people can annotate the board at the same time. Two touch pens are supplied, and the panel detects pen diameters of 8 mm and 3 mm automatically, letting one person write in one colour and thickness while another writes in a different one. Annotation runs through the built-in myViewBoard software on Android 8. ViewBoard Cast lets students share their screens to the panel and send content back, and the four-way split screen shows four sources side by side for group comparison or small-group activities.

Connectivity, sound and the optional PC slot

The ports include three HDMI 2.0 inputs that accept 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz, a VGA input, a PC audio input, an RS232 control port, an RJ45 LAN port, optical S/PDIF output and an earphone output. The front SmartPort USB hub serves all input channels, and two Type B ports handle touch. One proprietary PC slot (OPS) takes an optional slot-in PC; the compatible series are VPC10-WP, VPC14-WP, VPC15-WP, VPC16-WP and VPC17-WP. A Wi-Fi module slot and a remote control complete the setup, and a 1080p top-mounted web camera is available as an option. The speakers are two 10 W units with a 15 W subwoofer.

Power draw is 138 W typical when on and under 0.5 W when off, on a wide 100-240 V AC input that covers Qatar's 240 V supply. The rated operating range is 0°C to 40°C at 10-90% humidity, non-condensing, for 18 hours a day across seven days.
