IFP8633-G

What the IFP8633-G does in a Qatar classroom or boardroom

The ViewSonic IFP8633-G is an 86-inch interactive flat panel built around a 4K UHD (3840x2160) display. A 40-point touch surface lets several people write, draw and move content at the same time, and the panel runs Android 11 with myViewBoard preinstalled. In practice, one screen can replace a projector, a whiteboard and a separate conference display in a room used every day for teaching or meetings.

This size suits rooms where the audience sits several metres from the screen. The active display area measures 1913.04 mm by 1083.96 mm, which helps the back row read slides and annotations.

Picture, touch and audio facts that matter

• Brightness: 500 nits, with a 9H anti-glare coating that reduces reflections from ceiling lights.
• Contrast: up to 5000:1 with DCR enabled, and 1.07 billion colours.
• Response and viewing: 8ms response time and 178-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles.
• Touch: 40 touch points, with two touch pens included in the box.
• Audio: two 16W front-facing speakers and a built-in light sensor.
• Panel life: backlight rated at 50,000 hours minimum.

The 500-nit output works best in rooms where blinds and ceiling lights can be controlled, so position the panel away from direct window glare. The anti-glare coating reduces reflections but does not replace good blind control.

Connections for laptops, PCs and video conferencing

The front USB-C port delivers 65W power delivery, DisplayPort 1.2 video, USB 2.0 data and 10/100M network sharing, so a teacher's laptop can connect with one cable. Three HDMI 2.0 inputs accept 4K at 60Hz, with one VGA input, one RS-232 port for control and two RJ45 LAN ports. A top camera plate is included for mounting a webcam on the panel.

For a more capable computer, the optional Intel standard OPS slot and the compatible Slot-in PC models (VPC2-O series, VPC2-O-1B series and VPC12-WPO-15/16) add Windows, where myViewBoard for Windows is embedded. Wi-Fi is available as an optional module (VB-WIFI-002, VB-WIFI-004 or VSB-050) and is not part of the standard package.

Where it fits across Qatar

• Classrooms: a private school in Al Wakrah equipping new classrooms, where teachers annotate lessons and students write on the screen with pens or fingers.
• Lecture rooms: a university or training centre in Education City or Lusail that moves between laptop slides, video and a remote video call in one session.
• Boardrooms: a ministry or company office in Msheireb or West Bay where meetings link Doha with teams abroad, using the camera plate and USB-C connection.

Planning the installation

The panel weighs 58.55 kg net (75.9 kg gross) and measures 1957 x 1160 x 100 mm. It uses a VESA 800 x 600 mm mounting pattern, and four wall-mount screws are supplied. Before mounting, confirm that the wall or stand can carry this load and that the mount aligns with the VESA pattern. SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys and professional installation, which is worth booking before a heavy panel goes on a wall.

Power input is 100-240V AC, which accepts Qatar's 240V mains supply. Consumption is 154W when on and 0.5W or less when off. Operating conditions are 0°C to 40°C with 20% to 80% RH non-condensing. Qatar summer temperatures can exceed 45°C outdoors, so install the panel in an air-conditioned room, away from direct sun, and confirm the room environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team.

Buying is straightforward: request a quote and the team usually responds within one working day. Schools and government bodies can order on a purchase order or LPO, and the panel is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar to confirm the configuration, the mounting plan and the lead time for your site.
