Overview

The ViewSonic IN8621C-1C is an 86-inch all-in-one interactive display with 4K UHD resolution, a 50MP camera with 4x digital zoom, eight beamforming microphones and 50-point touch. It runs Android 14 and is EDLA certified, making it suited to large classrooms, lecture halls and boardrooms in Qatar where hybrid teaching and video meetings with abroad are routine. What the IN8621C-1C is built to do

The ViewSonic IN8621C-1C is an 86-inch all-in-one interactive display from the IN21C Series, designed for teaching and meetings where the screen, camera, microphones and speakers sit in one unit. Its 4K UHD panel (3840 x 2160) shows detailed slides, spreadsheets and drawings, while Android 14 with EDLA certification runs the built-in apps on its own.

Because everything is integrated, a single 86-inch unit can replace a projector, a separate webcam and a ceiling microphone set. For Qatari organisations running hybrid lessons or board meetings with colleagues abroad, that means fewer cables, fewer devices to support and one screen to manage.

Camera, microphones and audio for hybrid rooms

50MP camera with 4x digital zoom and 4K resolution
Auto-framing and voice tracking to keep the presenter in shot
Eight beamforming microphones covering up to 8 metres
Two 20W front speakers built into a soundbar

The camera and microphone array work best when the room layout matches their coverage: a teacher at the board, a presenter in front of the panel, or a group seated within 8 metres. Check where people will sit against the unit's position before fixing it to the wall.

Panel quality, touch and writing

The panel is rated at 450 nits typical brightness and 5000:1 typical contrast, with a 178-degree viewing angle and 6.5 ms response time. Bonding technology and an anti-glare surface with 9H hardness help limit reflections from windows and ceiling lights. The 50-point Ultra Fine Touch layer supports palm rejection, and two passive pens are supplied for writing and annotation.

Connectivity and planning the installation

Two USB-C ports provide power delivery of 65W and 15W, so a laptop can share its screen and drive presentations and calls through one cable. Three HDMI inputs support 4K at 60Hz, alongside DisplayPort, VGA, RS232 control and two RJ45 LAN ports. An optional OPS slot accepts an Intel Standard OPS module, and optical S/PDIF and line-out cover audio routing.

The unit weighs 54.55 kg net and measures 1957 x 1178.5 x 99.4 mm. Its VESA pattern is 800 x 600, so wall structure and mounting hardware must be checked before installation. The operating range is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius at 20 to 80% humidity, non-condensing. In Qatar, where outdoor summer temperatures can exceed 45 degrees Celsius, the room must be air-conditioned and kept within that range.

Where it fits in Qatar

A private school in Al Wakrah fitting out a new science room could use the 86-inch format for practical demonstrations and remote specialist sessions. A consultancy office in West Bay running client presentations in English and Arabic could use the camera for hybrid meetings with teams in Doha and abroad. A training centre near Education City could use the touch surface for group workshops.

Each setup needs a free site survey, a confirmed wall or stand arrangement, a power point near the mounting position and a network point if the RJ45 ports will be used. SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys, and quotations are usually provided within one working day. Schools and government bodies can issue a purchase order (LPO) or bid through Monaqasat tenders.

To request a quote for the ViewSonic IN8621C-1C, send your room size, wall type and intended use. The SmartRooms Qatar team will confirm the installation scope and payment terms.

Questions about IN8621C-1C

What is the ViewSonic IN8621C-1C and who is it for?

The IN8621C-1C is an 86-inch all-in-one interactive display from the IN21C Series, with a 4K UHD panel, built-in camera, microphones, speakers and Android 14 with EDLA certification. It suits schools, universities, government offices and corporate boardrooms in Qatar that need one screen for teaching, presentations and video meetings. The 86-inch size works best in lecture halls and larger meeting rooms where several people read the screen from a distance.

How does the auto-framing camera work in a hybrid class?

The 50MP camera offers 4x digital zoom and uses auto-framing and voice tracking to follow the presenter. In a hybrid class, a teacher speaking at the board stays in shot while remote students see the board clearly. Because the zoom is digital, framing depends on room lighting and seating layout, so test the view before the first lesson.

Will the microphones pick up students at the back of a large room?

The unit has eight beamforming microphones covering up to 8 metres, which suits a classroom or meeting room where speakers sit within that distance. For a larger hall with seating beyond 8 metres, ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to review the layout during the free site survey before you confirm the room plan.

How bright is the screen in a room with windows in Doha?

The panel is rated at 450 nits typical brightness and 5000:1 typical contrast, with an anti-glare surface at 9H hardness and bonding technology that reduces reflections. A room with a large window facing the afternoon sun still benefits from blinds or from positioning the unit away from direct light. A site survey can check the sun path before fixing.

Does it work with Qatar's 240 V mains supply?

Yes. The power input is rated at 100-240V AC with a plus or minus 10% wide range, which covers a 240 V supply. Typical consumption is 123.42W when on and under 0.5W when off. Each unit needs a suitable socket near the mounting point, and the supplied 3m power cord should be routed away from data and touch cables.

What can a laptop do over USB-C?

Two USB-C ports provide power delivery, one rated 65W and one rated 15W. A laptop connected by USB-C can share its screen and drive presentations and calls through a single cable, which the manufacturer describes as BYOM. This keeps a teacher or presenter from managing several separate leads at the start of each session.

Which inputs do I need for existing AV equipment?

There are three HDMI inputs supporting 4K at 60Hz, plus DisplayPort, RGB/VGA, an audio input, RS232 control and a micro SD slot. Outputs include HDMI, line-out audio and optical S/PDIF. Two RJ45 LAN ports and five USB Type-A ports, along with two USB Type-B ports, help connect networks and peripherals. Confirm your existing cabling during the site survey.

Can it be installed in a room without air conditioning?

No. The operating range is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius with 20 to 80% humidity, non-condensing. Qatar summer temperatures often exceed 45 degrees Celsius, so the room must be air-conditioned and kept within that range. Spaces such as unused stores, outdoor lobbies or sunlit atriums should be assessed with the SmartRooms Qatar team before any purchase order is raised.

How heavy is it and what wall mount does it need?

The net weight is 54.55 kg and the gross shipping weight is 66.10 kg, with physical dimensions of 1957 x 1178.5 x 99.4 mm. The VESA pattern is 800 x 600. The wall must carry the weight, so a qualified installer should check the structure before fixing. SmartRooms Qatar offers professional installation and free site surveys across Qatar.

What comes in the box?

The package includes a 3m power cord, a 3m USB touch cable, a 3m HDMI cable, two passive pens, a remote controller, two AAA batteries and a quick start guide. Check the delivery against the quotation and report any missing items before installation. Ask the team to confirm whether extra cables or mounting parts are needed for your layout.

Can I add my own PC to the display?

Yes, through the OPS slot, which is one PC slot that accepts an optional Intel Standard OPS module. The module is optional, so the quotation should state whether it is included. Choose the module configuration with your IT team so it matches the software and teaching or meeting applications you plan to run.

How do I request a quote and what happens next?

Send SmartRooms Qatar your room size, wall type, number of units and whether you need installation. Quotations are usually provided within one working day. Government and school buyers can issue a purchase order (LPO) or bid through Monaqasat tenders, and payment can be made by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. The product is covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
