What the VPC12-WPO-2 is and how it is built

The VPC12-WPO-2 is a Windows 10 Pro computer module in the Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) format. It slides into the OPS slot of a compatible ViewBoard panel, so the display can run meeting, whiteboard and browser software without a separate desktop PC beside it. For IT managers, this means one installation point, one set of cables to the panel and one computer to keep updated.

Inside the module is an Intel Core i5-6300U processor with vPro and TPM function, 8GB of DDR4 memory that can be expanded to 16GB, and a 2.5-inch 128GB SATA3 SSD that can be expanded to 512GB. Graphics come from Intel HD Graphics 520. The operating system is Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.

Specifications that matter in a meeting room

Three areas drive most buying decisions. The first is wireless sharing. The module is Intel Unite certified and includes Intel Unite software, so participants can share screens and multimedia from their own devices. The host decides which onsite and remote participants join, and guests can connect without access to the corporate network.
