What this discontinued Wallaby stand was built to do

The Elo Wallaby Self-Service Stand (Gen 1) turns a 15-inch or 22-inch Elo touchscreen into a freestanding self-service point. It was designed for self-ordering, endless aisle browsing, price checking, loyalty enrolment and patient check-in, the tasks Elo's I-Series and X-Series all-in-one systems handle in busy public areas. A secure housing holds a receipt printer, and the space inside can also take a power supply or network switch, so the whole unit sits in one footprint.

Configurations and physical size

The Gen 1 range comes in two part combinations. Part E062324 is the countertop stand, measuring 295 mm x 247 mm x 557 mm and weighing 9.875 kg unpackaged. Adding the floor extension E062510 to E062324 creates the floor stand, which measures 562 mm x 370 mm x 1316 mm and weighs 35.97 kg unpackaged. Both versions use a black and silver enclosure.

Payment, printing and peripherals

Payment is where many self-service projects get complicated. The stand is compatible with EMV cradles for the Verifone MX915 and Ingenico iSC250 (both portrait only, part E062704) and the Ingenico iPP350 (landscape only, part E062899). Each cradle fixes the orientation, so confirm the terminal model before ordering. Printers listed as compatible are the Epson TM-T88, Star TSP100 and Star TSP654. For connectivity, the display can link over Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.0 or a wired Ethernet connection, and a long-cable expansion module (E923781) is available for Android I-Series units.

The manufacturer states that software and installation must follow ADA rules for the stand to be ADA compliant.
