What the PDSIM55SWT6P is built to do

The Prestigio PDSIM55SWT6P is a free-standing indoor totem built around a 55-inch IPS LCD panel. The display, computer and stereo speakers sit in one cabinet, so no separate media player needs to be hidden behind a counter or wall. The metal housing with a tempered glass front is intended for public areas where the screen must be protected from casual handling.

Display, touch and audio

The panel shows 1080 by 1920 pixels at 60Hz, with 300 cd/m² brightness, a contrast ratio of 1,200:1, an 8 ms response time and viewing angles of 178 degrees both horizontally and vertically. Its 0.63 mm dot pitch and rated lifetime of 50,000 hours are listed in the specification. The touch layer recognises up to 10 touch points at the same time, so two or more visitors can search a directory or browse a catalogue together. Built-in stereo speakers rated at 2 x 5 W play audio with video content.

Computer, software and connections

An Intel Core i5 processor runs Windows 10 IoT, supported by 4 GB of DDR3 memory and a 128 GB SSD. The included software lets your team create, manage and distribute content across several displays, so one campaign can be changed on a whole group of totems from a single place. Connections include Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi, HDMI, VGA, line-in audio and USB Type-A ports, covering both wired and wireless networks.

Where it fits in Qatar

In a shopping mall in West Bay or Lusail, a totem beside the main entrance can show store directories, promotions and products that do not fit on the shelves. In a clinic or hospital in Doha, the same unit can guide visitors between departments with bilingual wayfinding content. In a government service hall, it can display queue information and visitor instructions, updated as the day changes.

What to plan before ordering

At 1850 mm high, 450 mm wide and 791 mm deep, weighing 62 kg, the totem needs a level, firm floor and a route measured through doorways and lifts before delivery. SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys to confirm placement, clearances and nearby power and network points before installation. The operating range is 0 to 50 degrees Celsius with 10 to 80 percent humidity, so place the unit inside air-conditioned space, away from unshaded windows and entrances where summer heat in Qatar can approach the upper limit. The input accepts 100 to 240 V AC at 50 or 60 Hz and draws 180 W in operation. Included accessories are a remote control, quick start guide, warranty card and AC power cable, and we recommend confirming the plug arrangement with our team before ordering. The manufacturer's warranty term is 12 months, unless local law requires otherwise.

A discontinued model and its replacement

Prestigio has discontinued the PDSIM55SWT6P. If your organisation already runs this totem and needs a matching unit, or you are comparing it with newer models, send SmartRooms Qatar your site requirements. We will quote for a current equivalent or a compatible replacement, based on screen size, touch needs, content management and the space available at each location.
