What SuperSign CMS does for your signage network

LG SuperSign CMS is the content management software that runs behind LG digital signage. Rather than loading media onto each screen by hand, your team creates content, sets the timing and sends it over the network to registered players. It is offered in two editions. SuperSign lite covers the essentials: building schedules, distributing content across the network and managing players. SuperSign W is the advanced edition and adds video wall synchronisation.

Content approval, scheduling and playlists

Every content item moves through a status path of all, approved, non-approved or rejected, which suits organisations where one team drafts material and a manager signs it off. Images, video, audio, PDF and Office files can be imported, and the detail view previews each file, shows its properties and lists each schedule or player that uses it. The playlist editor combines images, video and SuperSign content into one package. Playback times shorter than a calendar slot are automatically fitted to the timeline, and schedules can be copied and pasted with Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V.

Distribution that recovers from faults

• Group distribution sends content to a player group or workgroup in a single action.
• Network failover holds distribution during an outage and resumes once the network recovers.
• Power-off distribution reserves content for a display and starts when that display powers on.
• A retry button redistributes the same content in one click instead of repeating every step.
• E-mail alerts notify administrators when errors are detected.

Video walls, web content and monitoring

PC-less videowall operation is supported on the SuperSign solution, and video wall synchronisation is listed for SuperSign W. Web content is handled without a separate media player: widgets and RSS feeds run on webOS 2.0, and web pages can be placed in resizable zones that combine HTML5, video and images. The interface uses colour-coded status and a graphical dashboard, and a QR code creator lets you add scannable links to screens. Version 3.0 introduced 42 templates, some with a TV input area. Where the player is an LG Media Player or webOS product, the server software can show the status of every connected display at once, and the mobile version lets you capture each screen.
