What the TPY23 pack includes
The BenQ TPY23 is a set of two dual-tip pens made for BenQ Board interactive displays in the RE series. Each pen is double-ended: the fine tip draws thin, legible lines, and the thick tip is used to highlight and emphasise key points. Flipping the pen switches between them without reaching for a second tool.
Each pen measures 160.6 mm (6.3 in) long with a diameter of 12.5 mm (0.5 in), close to the thickness of a standard ballpoint. That familiar grip makes the pens comfortable for long annotation sessions, and both pens are grey.
Colour-coded writing with EZWrite dual-pen mode
When EZWrite's dual-pen mode is active, the display automatically assigns a different colour to each stroke based on the thickness of the tip in use. Two people can write side by side at the same board and still see who wrote each line. This is useful in group exercises, paired problem-solving and joint planning sessions.
Battery-free and simple to maintain
- No batteries: the pens need no battery and no charging, so a lesson never pauses because a pen has run flat.
- Water-resistant: the manufacturer describes both pens as water-resistant, which suits busy classrooms and shared meeting rooms.
- Low maintenance: according to the manufacturer, the pens do not need special care.
Where the TPY23 fits in Qatar
A private school in Al Wakrah fitting out classrooms with RE6501 boards can keep one pack at each board. Teachers can use the thick tip to highlight vocabulary and the fine tip to work through problem steps. A corporate training room in West Bay with an RE8601 can use the colour coding when two trainees complete a shared whiteboard exercise.
In a university seminar room in Education City or Msheireb fitted with an RE9801, a lecturer can keep the pens at the lectern and switch between writing and highlighting during a session without stopping to find a different tool.
What to plan before you order
- Confirm your display model. Compatibility is listed for the RE6501, RE7501, RE8601 and RE9801 only.
- Count packs by board, since each pack contains two pens.
- Choose a fixed spot beside each board so pens are not lost between lessons.
- If a board sits near a window or in a hot or dusty area, ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to confirm conditions first, because the data gives no operating temperature range for the pens.
Tell us which RE-series displays you have or plan to buy and how many pen packs each room needs, then request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar. We will send a quotation, usually within one working day, and deliver to all eight municipalities of Qatar.
