Hubware H2 58

What the Hubware H2 58 is and who it suits

The Hubware H2 58 brings a 58-inch Full HD touch display, a built-in Windows computer and a motorized video camera into one unit. It is intended for small and mid-sized rooms where people need to share content on a large screen and join a video call from the same spot, without assembling a separate PC, camera and codec. The manufacturer has discontinued this model. SmartRooms Qatar can quote a current equivalent or a compatible replacement, and the details below describe this specific unit.

Display and touch performance

The panel runs at 1920 x 1080 in a 16:9 format, with a dynamic contrast ratio of 4000:1 and a protective skin glass over the surface. Its infrared touch frame needs no pressure, accepts fingers or any solid object, and tracks up to six touch points with an 8 ms scanning speed and a tolerance of ±1.5 mm. The rated viewing angle is 176 x 176 degrees, so people sitting toward the sides of a room can still read the content. The refresh rate is 60 Hz at 30 frames per second.

Built-in computer, camera and audio

The integrated PC runs Windows 7 Professional, which the specification notes can be upgraded to Windows 8. It carries an Intel Dual Core i7 processor, 8 GB of DDR3 memory, 1 TB of hard drive storage and a 128 GB SSD. The camera is a Logitech ConferenceCam CC3000e with a ZEISS glass lens and autofocus. Its motorized pan, tilt and zoom are controlled from the remote, covering 260 degrees of pan, 130 degrees of tilt and 10x zoom. Audio comes from two 10 W speakers and enterprise-grade omni-directional microphones with acoustic echo cancellation and wideband audio.

Connections and conferencing services

• Inputs: two HDMI inputs, a VGA input, touch input, an RS232 control input, an audio input, an SD card reader and multiple USB ports
• Network: Ethernet, built-in 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and IP control
• Conferencing: an annual host subscription with up to 25 guest accounts, multi-party calls with up to 99 participants on WebRTC/OneScreen and up to 8 ad hoc SIP/H.323 participants
• Cameras: support for up to 4 cameras simultaneously

The platform also lists integration with Microsoft Lync, Skype, Adobe Connect and Cisco WebEx, and encrypts meetings by default. A wireless keyboard (Logitech K400, 10 m range) and two remotes, one for the monitor and one for the camera, are included.

Where it fits in Qatar

An office in West Bay whose Doha team regularly calls colleagues in other countries can use the camera and wireless connection for daily calls, while the touch surface supports document review during the meeting. In a school in Al Wakrah or a training room at Education City, a 58-inch screen suits a classroom or workshop of modest size, where an instructor can annotate lessons directly on the glass. A government team in Msheireb could place it in a compact meeting room for working sessions with a small group of participants.

What to plan before ordering

• Wall space: the unit measures 53.4 x 38.5 x 5.91 inches and weighs 150 lb, so the wall structure should be checked during a free site survey.
• Power: the power supply is rated 100-240 V, 50/60 Hz, and cable routes for power and network should be agreed during planning.
• Environment: the data available does not list an operating temperature range, so confirm room conditions with the SmartRooms Qatar team before installation, especially for rooms with glass fronts that heat up in summer.
• Warranty: one-year standard warranty, with an advanced hardware warranty available as an option.

Because this model is discontinued, send the room size, the number of units and the conferencing software you use.
