Hubware H6 Education 55

A compact 55-inch panel for small teaching and meeting rooms

The Hubware H6 Education 55 is the smallest screen in its series, built around a 55-inch LG panel at 3840 x 2160 resolution. The manufacturer has discontinued this model, so this page is written for organisations that already run one, buyers comparing it with newer displays, and anyone who needs a like-for-like replacement. The panel refreshes at 60 Hz, is rated at 400+ cd/m2 brightness and has anti-glare glass with 8 Mohs surface hardness, which helps in rooms with windows or strong ceiling lights.

Touch input and the OPS PC module

Touch runs on a 20-point infrared system with 3 mm accuracy, palm detection and the ability to tell a pen from a finger, so a teacher can rest a hand on the glass while writing. Annotation works over any source, with a response time rated at 2.5 m/s or faster. The slot-in OPS module carries an Intel i5 7th generation processor, 256 GB of SSD storage, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2. The data lists Linux, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10 as supported systems. The panel also offers three HDMI 2.0 inputs, a DisplayPort, VGA, two touch USB connections and an RS232 port for control, with two 16 W speakers built in.

What comes with the unit

The package lists a remote control, an HDMI cable, a USB touch cable, two pens and an extendable pen. The model also includes a 1080p web camera with a built-in microphone rated to a 12 ft range, and a full-size Logitech wireless keyboard with touchpad rated to 33 ft. Software named in the data includes OneScreen Annotate, Write, Navigate and EShare for screen sharing. Cloud-based services such as OneScreen Hype video conferencing, OneScreen Central, ZUNI Learning and OneScreen Attendance are listed by the manufacturer, so confirm which of them apply to this unit when you request a quote.

Where a 55-inch panel fits in Qatar

A private school in Al Rayyan fitting out a primary classroom may choose this size because it is readable from the back of a room without the wall area a 75-inch or 86-inch panel needs. A training centre in Msheireb can use it in a breakout room, where a presenter annotates a document while participants follow on the same screen. An office team in West Bay that holds frequent calls with colleagues abroad can pair it with the camera and the conferencing software listed for this unit.

Planning the installation before you order

The wall mount is VESA 400 x 400. Product dimensions are 49.9 x 31.1 x 3.4 inches and the product weighs 88.2 lb, while the shipping box measures 56.3 x 36.5 x 9.3 inches and weighs 110.2 lb. SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys, and we recommend one to check the wall, the access route and the lift before delivery.

Power is rated at 100-240 V AC, 50/60 Hz, up to 160 W with standby at 0.5 W or less, which covers Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz supply. The bundled power cable is listed as a US type, so confirm the plug arrangement for BS 1363 sockets with the SmartRooms Qatar team before installation. The source data gives no operating temperature range, so confirm room conditions, including sunlight through windows, before fixing the panel. The advanced hardware replacement warranty is offered only at the time of purchase, so raise it when you request a quote.
