Hubware H6 Education 98

A 98-inch 4K panel for large rooms

The OneScreen Hubware H6 Education 98 is the largest model in the Hubware H6 Education series. It uses a 98-inch LG Original panel with 3840 x 2160 resolution and a 60 Hz refresh rate. Brightness is listed at 400 to 500 cd/m2, and the anti-glare glass has 8 Mohs surface hardness, which helps when daylight falls across a wide screen. Viewing angles are 178 degrees horizontally and vertically at minimum.

The manufacturer has discontinued this model. The notes below describe what it offers so that existing owners, buyers comparing options and organisations looking for a replacement can judge its fit. SmartRooms Qatar will quote a current equivalent or a compatible replacement on request.

Built-in OPS PC and 20-point touch

An OPS PC module sits inside the display with an Intel Core i5 7th generation processor, Intel HD 630 graphics, 8 GB DDR4 memory and a 256 GB SSD. The module supports Windows 7, 8 and 10 as well as Linux, and includes Bluetooth 4.2 with dual-band Wi-Fi. Its ports include six USB 3.0 Type A, two USB 2.0 Type A, a gigabit RJ45 port, and HDMI and VGA outputs.

The IR touch layer offers 20 touch points, 3 mm touch accuracy and a response time of 2.5 m/s or less. Palm detection and the ability to tell a pen from a finger let a teacher rest a hand on the glass while writing, and annotation works over any source. Touch compatibility covers Windows, Linux, Mac, Android 8.0 and Chrome.

Connections, sound and software

• Three HDMI 2.0 inputs, DisplayPort, VGA, RJ-45 and two touch USB connections
• Two 16 W built-in speakers with surround sound and an equaliser
• RS232 and RJ-45 control, plus dual-band Wi-Fi with a 5G hotspot
• Android 8.0 with Google Play Store access and multi-user login

The package also lists the Hype video conferencing service, OneScreen Central for centralised screen control, ZUNI Learning lesson resources and OneScreen Attendance for class registers. These are cloud-based services, so confirm their availability for your site within the quotation. The annotation tools include Annotate, Write and Navigate, and EShare handles multi-device screen sharing and streaming.

Where it fits in Qatar

• Lecture hall in Education City: a 98-inch screen lets a large cohort read slides and diagrams clearly, while the built-in OPS PC runs course software without a separate computer at the lectern.
• Ministry boardroom in West Bay: the dual-band Wi-Fi, screen sharing and video conferencing service suit meetings that connect Doha with teams abroad, with annotation available during the session.
• Multipurpose hall at a private school in Al Wakrah: one large display can serve morning assemblies and whole-class lessons, and a single LPO can cover several units if the school is equipping more than one hall.

Planning the installation

The display measures 87.9 x 52.3 x 4.3 inches (about 223.3 x 132.8 x 10.9 cm) and weighs 296.5 lb (about 134.5 kg), with a shipping weight of 399.6 lb. The VESA wall mount pattern is 800 x 400. Before wall-mounting, book a free site survey to confirm that the wall structure and fixings can carry this weight and to plan the room around the panel's footprint.

The power supply is rated AC 100-240 V at 50/60 Hz, with a power rate of up to 450 W and standby at 0.5 W or less. The included power cable is a US type, so confirm the correct plug and adapter for BS 1363 (Type G) sockets with the SmartRooms Qatar team before installation. The source data does not list an operating temperature range, so confirm room conditions, especially near windows or in spaces without air conditioning, before choosing a location. The advanced hardware replacement warranty is available at the time of purchase only.

SmartRooms Qatar supplies and delivers to all eight municipalities, offers professional installation, and accepts purchase orders and government tenders, with quotations usually issued within one working day. Request a quote for this model or for a current equivalent.
