WA86FX-P

What the WA86FX-P does in meetings and lessons

The Samsung WA86FX-P combines a large 4K touch panel, an Android 15 operating system and a built-in camera in one unit. Presenters write, annotate and share directly on the glass without a laptop beside it, and video calls can start without a separate camera or speakerphone. It is designed for rooms where a group needs to see and work on the same content at the same time.

The specifications that matter when you compare

• Display: 3,840 x 2,160 IPS panel, 450 nit typical brightness, 1,200:1 contrast ratio, 178/178 degree viewing angle and 8 ms response time.
• Touch: IR touch with multi-touch input for up to 50 users, plus a 3-in-1 USB-C port that carries touch control, screen connection and charging up to 65 W.
• Camera and audio: 48MP built-in camera with auto framing, a microphone with a 10-metre pickup range, and dual 20 W speakers with a built-in woofer.
• Connectivity: 2 HDMI 2.1 inputs, 1 DisplayPort 1.2 input, 4 USB ports, RS232, RJ45 in and out, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth.
• Software: Android 15 with Google EDLA certification, 128GB flash memory, an OPS slot and central device management.

Where it fits in Qatar

An 86-inch panel suits a lecture hall, training room or boardroom where the audience sits several metres back. At a university campus in Education City or Doha, a lecturer can run a session on the panel while a remote group joins through the built-in camera. The split-screen Note app supports up to four independent note areas on one page, so each student group can work in its own area without erasing the others.

In a ministry or corporate boardroom in West Bay or Msheireb, the panel can connect a meeting with teams abroad while staff annotate a shared document from the glass. Hotels and serviced apartments in Lusail can use it for conference sessions, and a training centre in the Industrial Area can deliver safety briefings, with Advanced Messaging sending urgent alerts to other displays enrolled in the same device management system.

What to plan before installation

• Weight: the set weighs 60.9 kg and ships in a 71.8 kg package, so plan a two-person lift and a wall or stand rated for the load.
• Mounting: the VESA pattern is 800 x 600 mm. Confirm the wall structure and fixing points during a free site survey.
• Space: the set measures 1950.4 x 1174.0 x 87.1 mm, so check aisle width, door routes and ceiling height before delivery.
• Environment: the operating range is 0 to 40 °C at 10 to 80% humidity, non-condensing. Qatar summers can exceed 45 °C, so install it in an air-conditioned room away from direct sunlight and window glare.
• Power: the input is rated 100 to 240 V at 50/60 Hz, with 529 W on-mode consumption and 0.5 W in sleep mode.
