VB-PEN-009

What the VB-PEN-009 is for

The ViewSonic VB-PEN-009 is a passive stylus built for ViewBoard interactive displays. It lets a presenter write, draw and annotate directly on the screen, with the work captured in myViewBoard and other supported apps. Because it is passive, it has no battery or charging cable to manage, so it is ready to use whenever a presenter picks it up.

Specifications that affect daily use

At 16.5 g net, the pen is light enough for extended note-taking during a long lesson or a half-day workshop. The packaged size is 190 × 65 × 12 mm, which helps when planning drawer or cabinet space for spare pens. The gross weight including packaging is 33 g. The stated operating range is 0°C to 40°C with 10% to 90% relative humidity, so the pen belongs in air-conditioned rooms rather than hot vehicles or outdoor storage.

Where it fits in Qatar

• Primary and secondary classrooms, where teachers annotate maths or Arabic lessons on a ViewBoard panel and keep the pages for students to review.
• Government and corporate meeting rooms, where a presenter marks up a shared document during a call with colleagues abroad.
• Training centres and seminar rooms, including those in Education City, where several facilitators share one display and need a pen at each session.

Planning a ViewBoard fit-out

Pens are often the accessory that goes missing first, so plan one pen per display and keep a spare in the room's AV cupboard. Confirm which ViewBoard models and app versions your rooms run before ordering, because the pen is compatible with ViewBoard and the supported apps named in the product data. Keep the pen indoors. With a 40°C upper limit, a car parked in Doha's summer heat or a window ledge in direct sun can exceed the rated range.
