Overview

Built for conference rooms of up to 18 participants, this Microsoft Teams Room bundle pairs Lenovo ThinkSmart Core compute with a TesiraFORTÉ X 400 DSP, Parlé Beamtracking microphones and Desono ceiling loudspeakers. The manufacturer has discontinued this model and names the MRB-VBC 2800-TSC2DIP-Z as its replacement. SmartRooms Qatar can quote a current equivalent for boardrooms and training rooms across Qatar.

What the MRB-L-X400-C-TSC2IP-T bundle includes

The Biamp MRB-L-X400-C-TSC2IP-T is a Microsoft Teams Room bundle for large conference spaces of up to 18 participants. It brings together the Lenovo ThinkSmart Core compute platform and a complete audio chain: a TesiraFORTÉ X 400 DSP, Parlé Beamtracking microphones and Desono C-IC6 ceiling loudspeakers. Pre-terminated CAT5e cabling and the mounting and connection hardware are included, so the installer works from one kit rather than sourcing parts separately.

The bundle is Microsoft certified for Teams Room. Its warranty runs for five years on the Biamp audio components and three years on the Lenovo UCC platform, which gives facilities and IT teams a clear split of cover across the two halves of the system.

Audio processing and microphone behaviour

Biamp Launch calibrates the system by analysing the acoustic properties of the room and tuning the connected devices, so setup needs no manual programming. The TesiraFORTÉ X 400 runs custom acoustic echo cancellation to keep remote callers' speech clear, and AI-powered noise reduction filters out unwanted background sound. Automatic tuning continues even as acoustic conditions change.

Parlé Beamtracking microphones follow active talkers as they move, keeping pickup consistent without anyone adjusting a device. Microphone mute status is synchronised with the UC software and shown on LED mute indicators, so everyone in the room can see whether the system is muted. Desono loudspeakers are tuned for vocal clarity and intelligibility, and they run simultaneously so playback stays even across the room.

Where this bundle fits in Qatar

A boardroom in West Bay or Msheireb: executives join calls with colleagues in Doha and abroad, and participants can speak from across a long table without passing a microphone around.
A training room at a campus in Education City: staff and students join sessions from Doha and overseas offices, with Teams meetings running through the Sunday to Thursday working week.
A meeting room at an energy company in Mesaieed or Ras Laffan: project teams in the field and at head office review progress together on the same call.

Planning the installation and checking the replacement

Ceiling loudspeaker and microphone placement depends on the room, so a free site survey from SmartRooms Qatar should come before the order. The survey confirms the ceiling construction, the route for the pre-terminated cabling to the equipment location, and the best positions for the speakers and microphones. The data for this bundle does not give an operating temperature range, so confirm the intended environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team before installation.

Biamp has discontinued the MRB-L-X400-C-TSC2IP-T and names the MRB-VBC 2800-TSC2DIP-Z as its replacement. If you already run this bundle, or you are weighing the two, request a quote and the team will advise on the right current equivalent. Government buyers can order against a purchase order (LPO) or a Monaqasat tender, and SmartRooms Qatar delivers to all eight municipalities of Qatar.

Request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar with your room size and participant count, and we will confirm the right equipment for your conference room.

Questions about MRB-L-X400-C-TSC2IP-T

Is the Biamp MRB-L-X400-C-TSC2IP-T still available?

No. Biamp has discontinued this bundle, so it is no longer a current catalogue item. Its manufacturer item number is 930-10008-00019. If your organisation already runs this bundle, or you are comparing it with newer models, SmartRooms Qatar can quote a current equivalent that suits your room and existing equipment. Request a quote and the team will confirm the options.

Which rooms in Qatar suit this bundle?

It is designed for large conference spaces of up to 18 participants, such as a boardroom in West Bay or Msheireb where people sit around a long table and some join from abroad. Its wide-pickup microphones and ceiling loudspeakers suit that layout. Smaller meeting rooms may not need this level of audio, so check the seating capacity before choosing the bundle.

Does the bundle include everything needed for installation?

The listed contents include a TesiraFORTÉ X 400 processor, Parlé Beamtracking microphones, Desono C-IC6 ceiling loudspeakers, pre-terminated CAT5e cabling, and the mounting and connection hardware, along with the Lenovo ThinkSmart Core compute platform. The pre-terminated cabling reduces on-site termination work. A display and camera are not listed, so confirm them with your quotation.

What does the TesiraFORTÉ X 400 do in this bundle?

It is the DSP that manages the room's audio. It provides custom acoustic echo cancellation so remote participants hear clear speech, and AI-powered noise reduction filters unwanted background sound. Biamp Launch uses the processor to calibrate the room automatically, so the facilities team does not need to program the system by hand during setup.

How do the Parlé Beamtracking microphones work during a meeting?

They follow active talkers as they move around the room, so people do not need to lean toward a fixed device. Pickup stays consistent without manual adjustment. This suits a training room at a university in Education City where a presenter walks between the screen and the whiteboard, or a meeting where colleagues speak from the far end of the table.

Is the bundle certified for Microsoft Teams Room?

Yes. The product data lists the solution as Microsoft Certified for Microsoft Teams. It combines the Lenovo ThinkSmart Core with a Biamp audio system, and microphone mute status is synchronised with the UC software and shown on LED mute indicators. For a Teams room in Doha, this means specifying one bundle rather than ordering compute and audio separately.

What warranty covers the bundle?

The manufacturer gives a 5-year warranty on the Biamp audio components and a 3-year warranty on the Lenovo UCC platform. Products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, and SmartRooms Qatar supplies and installs the bundle professionally. Ask for the warranty to be stated in your quotation before you raise a purchase order.

Which replacement does the manufacturer name?

Biamp names the MRB-VBC 2800-TSC2DIP-Z as the replacement for this bundle. Before accepting it, compare the room size, participant count, ceiling loudspeakers and cabling you already have, and the compute platform in use. SmartRooms Qatar can quote that model or another current option, so tell the team your room dimensions and seating needs.

Does the bundle include a display or camera?

The listed contents cover the compute unit, DSP, microphones, ceiling loudspeakers, cabling and mounting hardware. A display and camera are not listed, so plan for them separately. Most boardrooms running Teams Room need both, so state the display size and camera you intend to use when requesting a quote, and the team will confirm what your room needs.

Can a government ministry order this bundle through an LPO or a Monaqasat tender?

Yes. SmartRooms Qatar accepts purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders, including Monaqasat tenders, and accepts payment by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. A ministry boardroom order can be quoted with the bundle, installation and warranty listed together. Because this model is discontinued, state in the tender whether a compatible replacement is acceptable so the quotation matches the requirement.

What should we plan before installing ceiling loudspeakers in a meeting room in Msheireb?

Plan the ceiling type, the depth of the void above it, and the route for the pre-terminated CAT5e cabling from the room to the equipment location before installation day. A free site survey from SmartRooms Qatar will recommend the best positions for the microphones and loudspeakers. If the office is occupied, agree installation times with the facilities team. Quotations usually follow within one working day.

How does the bundle help a university training room that connects to overseas staff?

Biamp Launch calibrates the room automatically, and AI-powered noise reduction cuts background sound in a busy training space. Microphone mute status synchronises with the UC software and shows on LED indicators in the room. It suits sessions that run Sunday to Thursday between Doha and overseas offices. Request a quote with your room size to confirm it fits the space.
