Overview

The Biamp MRB-L-X400-C-TSC2IP-Z is a meeting room bundle that Biamp has discontinued. It combines a TesiraFORTÉ X 400 processor, Parlé ceiling microphones, four Desono C-IC6 ceiling loudspeakers and a Zoom Rooms certified compute unit with a 10.1-inch touch controller. It suits boardrooms and large seminar rooms with complex acoustics in Doha, West Bay and Education City. Organisations needing a current equivalent or compatible replacement can request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar.

What this discontinued Zoom Rooms bundle contains

Discontinued: Biamp has discontinued the MRB-L-X400-C-TSC2IP-Z, a large meeting room bundle built around a TesiraFORTÉ X 400 processor and the UCC-Lenovo-TSC2-IP-Z compute unit for Zoom Rooms. This page is for organisations that already own the bundle, buyers comparing it with newer Biamp meeting room kits, and teams that need a replacement while refitting a room. SmartRooms Qatar can quote for a current equivalent or a compatible replacement.

The kit is delivered as one set of ceiling audio plus a compute unit. It contains the UCC-Lenovo-TSC2-IP-Z with Zoom Rooms software pre-loaded, a TesiraFORTÉ X 400 digital signal processor, two white Parlé ceiling microphones (TCM-XA and TCM-XEX), four white Desono C-IC6 ceiling loudspeakers and an AMP-450BP PoE+ powered amplifier. Cabling is included as one 25 ft (7.5 m) plenum CAT5e cable and seven 10 ft (3 m) plenum CAT5e cables, along with a BPAK mounting accessory for the microphone plenum box and room deployment instructions.

Audio performance for large and acoustically complex rooms

The bundle is aimed at rooms where several people speak at once and the ceiling is busy with air handling. Custom acoustic echo cancellation supports remote participants, while noise reduction helps suppress constant sounds such as air conditioning. The loudspeakers are tuned for voice reproduction in conference rooms. Biamp Launch performs automated tuning, and the manufacturer lists zero programming for setup, which shortens commissioning before the first meeting.

Compute, touch control and Zoom Rooms integration

The compute unit uses an Intel Core vPro processor with an integrated NPU and is certified for Zoom Rooms. The included 10.1-inch touch controller presents the Zoom Rooms interface in the room, and the microphone mute buttons and LEDs stay in sync with the UC software. Power and network connectivity are PoE-based, which keeps infrastructure requirements lighter. The bundle also integrates with Biamp Impera room control, so displays, audio, lighting and connected equipment can be managed from one system. Users can switch to other conferencing platforms when needed.

Where this bundle fits in Qatar

A boardroom in West Bay or Msheireb where Zoom Rooms is the standard and ceiling microphones must cover a long table.
A seminar room at a university or training centre in Education City that needs clear voice pickup across a wide space.
A corporate headquarters in Lusail where meetings link Doha with teams abroad through Zoom.

What to plan before installation

Confirm the ceiling type first. The bundle includes a BPAK mounting accessory, and the manufacturer lists a TB-1 Tile Bridge Kit, a seismic cable adapter and a TCM-X-DK plenum attachment for drywall ceilings as optional accessories. Check for a PoE+ capable switch port within cable reach of the amplifier and controller. A free site survey from SmartRooms Qatar can confirm mounting points, cable runs and room conditions before equipment is ordered. Installation is handled by the SmartRooms Qatar team, and the manufacturer's five-year warranty applies.

Tell us the room size, ceiling type and whether you already run Zoom Rooms, and we will send a quotation for a current equivalent, usually within one working day. Request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar today.

Questions about MRB-L-X400-C-TSC2IP-Z

Is the Biamp MRB-L-X400-C-TSC2IP-Z still sold by Biamp?

No. Biamp has discontinued this large meeting room bundle, so it is no longer available as a new kit from the manufacturer. If you are refitting a room or need a replacement, SmartRooms Qatar can quote for a current equivalent or a compatible replacement, usually within one working day. Tell us which room the bundle was intended for so we can match the replacement to the space.

What exactly comes in the bundle?

The kit includes the UCC-Lenovo-TSC2-IP-Z compute unit with Zoom Rooms pre-loaded, a TesiraFORTÉ X 400 processor, white Parlé TCM-XA and TCM-XEX ceiling microphones, four white Desono C-IC6 ceiling loudspeakers and an AMP-450BP PoE+ powered amplifier. Cabling comprises one 25 ft (7.5 m) and seven 10 ft (3 m) plenum CAT5e cables. A BPAK mounting accessory for the microphone plenum box is also included.

Who is this bundle best suited to?

It suits a large boardroom or seminar room where several people speak at once and remote participants must hear clearly. In Qatar, that could be a government authority boardroom in West Bay, a corporate meeting room in Msheireb, or a training room in Education City. Smaller huddle rooms are usually better served by a simpler, smaller kit, so check the room size with our team before ordering.

Does it work with Zoom Rooms and other meeting platforms?

Yes. The compute unit is Zoom certified and comes with Zoom Rooms software pre-loaded. The 10.1-inch touch controller presents the Zoom Rooms interface in the room. The platform also supports connected user devices, so staff can switch to other conferencing platforms when a meeting requires one. Ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to confirm your Zoom account setup before you request a quotation.

Can it be managed from a room control system?

Yes. The bundle integrates directly with Biamp Impera room control, which can manage displays, audio, lighting and other connected equipment from one place. This helps organisations that run several rooms to a common standard, such as a government complex or a multi-tenant office tower in Lusail. Confirm the Impera setup for your site during the quotation stage.

How is the bundle powered and cabled?

Power and network connectivity are PoE-based, which reduces the need for separate power outlets near the ceiling. The AMP-450BP is a PoE+ powered amplifier, so its switch port needs to support PoE+. The bundle includes one 25 ft and seven 10 ft plenum CAT5e cables. Check cable distances during the free site survey before installation, especially where the comms room is far from the meeting room.

What does the touch controller do during a meeting?

The included 10.1-inch touch controller gives room users the Zoom Rooms interface directly at the table, so they can work with the room without a separate computer on the desk. The microphone mute buttons and LEDs sync with the UC software, so the mute state shown in the room matches the call. This helps staff run meetings confidently without an AV specialist beside them.

Does the system need programming before it is used?

The manufacturer lists zero programming for setup, with automated tuning handled by Biamp Launch. This matters for schools and ministries that want a room ready quickly after installation. Commissioning still depends on the room layout and cabling, so SmartRooms Qatar recommends confirming the layout during the free site survey before installation.

Will air conditioning in a Doha boardroom affect the audio?

The bundle includes noise reduction designed to minimise problem sounds such as air conditioning, along with custom acoustic echo cancellation that supports remote participants. These features matter in a Doha boardroom where air handling runs constantly and meetings link to teams abroad. Actual results depend on the room's acoustics, so request a site survey before ordering.

Can it be installed in a hot room with large windows, such as in Al Rayyan?

The manufacturer data we hold does not list an operating temperature range for this model, so we cannot quote one. Summer temperatures in Qatar can exceed 45°C, so confirm the room's cooling capacity and heat load with SmartRooms Qatar before ordering. Ask our team to review the room and the ceiling void around the equipment during the site survey.

What mounting options suit a new office in Lusail with drywall ceilings?

The bundle includes a BPAK mounting accessory for the microphone plenum box. The manufacturer lists a TCM-X-DK plenum attachment for drywall ceilings as an optional accessory, along with a TB-1 Tile Bridge Kit for ceiling tiles and a seismic cable adapter. Confirm the ceiling type of the new office before ordering, because the correct accessory depends on it. SmartRooms Qatar offers a free site survey to confirm this.

Can we order several rooms through an LPO or government tender?

Yes. SmartRooms Qatar accepts purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders, including Monaqasat. Payment can be made by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. A university in Education City or a government authority fitting out several meeting rooms can request one quotation covering each bundle it needs. Products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
