What the N70 does in a video wall system
The Dahua N70(04H12H) is a 3U video matrix platform built as a standard 19-inch rack server. It receives video, decodes it and routes each window to the correct screen of a wall. Its eight slots take audio and video cards, so the unit can be configured for the job and expanded by inserting cards rather than replacing the chassis.
Inputs, outputs and screen splicing
The platform takes up to two channels of 4K at 60 Hz for UHD encoding, or two channels of 1080p at 60 Hz for HD encoding. On the output side it has twelve HDMI ports, six HDMI 2.0 and six HDMI 1.3, which can carry up to six 4K and six 1080p channels. A full configuration splices one image across 12 screens, and layouts can be divided into 1, 4, 6, 8, 9, 16, 25 or 36 windows, or a custom M × N grid.
Decoding capacity and supported formats
The decoder works with H.265, H.264, SVAC, MPEG4 and MJPEG streams and can access up to 1,024 network channels. Its headline capacity is up to 144 channels of 1080p at 25 fps. Figures for other resolutions, such as 12 channels of 32 MP at 25 fps (H.265 only), are measured under set conditions, including no window crossing between screens and 1080p output, so confirm your scene design before fixing the camera count. Protocol support covers ONVIF, RTSP and the Dahua and Hikvision private protocols.
Control, presets and connectivity
Operators can manage the platform from a web page, a desktop client, a mobile client or a network keyboard, and local GUI operation is available. Up to 128 scene presets store custom layouts, and you can set the wall background colour, add subtitles and switch screens on or off as needed. Connections include two Gigabit Ethernet ports, two USB 3.0 ports, two RS-232 ports, one RS-485 port, two alarm inputs, one alarm output, a Type-C port and a 3.5 mm audio output.

The chassis measures 484.0 mm by 477.7 mm by 132.0 mm and weighs 13.49 kg net or 15.7 kg gross. It accepts 100–240 VAC at 50–60 Hz, a range that covers Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz supply. One power supply is included and a redundant second supply is optional; both are hot swappable, and power consumption is up to 140 W. The rated operating range is -10 °C to +50 °C at 10–90% relative humidity, non-condensing. Summer temperatures in Qatar can exceed 45 °C, so keep the rack in an air-conditioned room with clear airflow, and ask us to check the room during a free site survey.
