65SM5KB

What the LG 65SM5KB is built to do

The LG 65SM5KB is a 65-inch standard signage display with a 1,920 x 1,080 Full HD panel rated at 450 cd/m². It suits looped content such as menus, offers, announcements and wayfinding information on a single screen. LG has discontinued this model, so SmartRooms Qatar supplies it on a quotation basis for organisations that already run it or need a like-for-like replacement.

Processing, software and content tools

A quad core SoC runs several tasks at the same time, which helps playback stay smooth when a screen combines video, images and scrolling text. The display runs webOS 2.0, which provides tools for creating content and app development materials, with support for Windows, Linux and Mac OS. The model is listed as compatible with SuperSign-w lite and SuperSign-c, and a portrait mode is listed for vertical layouts.

Inputs, outputs and control ports

On the input side the panel offers one HDMI port with HDCP 2.2, one DisplayPort with HDCP 1.3, one DVI-D port with HDCP 2.2, one analog RGB input, an audio input, a USB 3.0 port and an SD card slot. A DisplayPort output (SST, DP 1.2a), an audio output and an RS232C output allow signal and control to pass on to a further display. External control covers an RJ45 port, an RS232C input, an IR receiver and a pixel sensor port.

Where it fits across Qatar

A private school in Al Wakrah refurbishing a ground-floor corridor could use one unit to show timetables, event calendars and sports results. In a clinic in Msheireb, a panel above the reception area can display queue information and health awareness messages. A retail unit in West Bay could use it near the entrance, provided the position is away from direct sunlight and hot glass. A small meeting room in Education City could use it for agendas and shared slides, since 65 inches suits smaller rooms.

Planning the installation

The panel measures 1,456.9 mm wide, 838 mm high and 56.5 mm deep, or 41.1 mm at its thinnest point, and the head unit weighs 27.9 kg. The VESA mounting pattern is 300 mm x 300 mm, and the bezel is 11.9 mm on the top, right and left sides and 18 mm at the bottom. Optional accessories listed for this model include the ST-652T stand, the LSW350B wall bracket and the AM-B330S VESA adapter. Before wall-mounting a panel of this weight, arrange a site survey so the wall structure, bracket and cable route are checked. The data lists no external speaker output, so plan audio separately, and confirm the power arrangement for your site with the SmartRooms Qatar team before installation.

Discontinued model: buying and replacing

Because LG has discontinued the 65SM5KB, organisations that need additional units or a replacement should request a quote for a current equivalent or a compatible replacement. Quotations from SmartRooms Qatar are usually issued within one working day, and we deliver to all eight municipalities of Qatar. Government buyers can work with purchase orders and LPOs, and tenders can be handled through Monaqasat.

To request a quote, send us your room size, mounting method, the media source you plan to use and the number of units needed. Our team will return a quotation and confirm estimated lead times based on stock.
